Poor check-in experience and room was not as promised. We stay at HGI whenever possible. This was our first stay in the Kallispell, MT, HGI. As we always do when we make our reservation we requested two things: 1. A pet-free room (severe dog allergy) 2. A shower, not a tub, if possible. When we checked in and asked the clerk if the room was pet free she looked at us like we were nuts. We said we had requested one and she said that there are "no pet free rooms at Hilton Garden Inn but that the cleaning staff would have cleaned the room 'extra' because we had requested pet free". The room was not 'extra' clean as not only did it smell like dog but it was not possible for our allergic family member to sit on the chair without getting hives and she was struggled with breathing any time we were in the room. Additionally, the clerk said our room did have a shower; it had a tub. The pet issue is not a minor thing. And the clerk needed to be honest with us (she wasn't) and not treat our pet-free request with so little respect.

Excellent location near-ish Glacier NP We had reserved a suite and found it highly enjoyable, aided by its excellent location. While the suite was pricey, it was very clean, albeit a bit dark and sparsely furnished. The water pressure in the shower was disappointing, and the breakfast was just average.

Comfortable, but expensive for what you get. Pros: clean, spacious room (we had a king room), easy to find, helpful and courteous staff. Cons: breakfast was not included at this expensive hotel, the air conditioner was noisy when it came on, and the shower head, which can be adjusted from pulse to spray, emits water in the narrowest pattern known to man. (The glass side of the narrow shower stall is hardly required.) Overall: a comfortable place to stay, but not quite worth the cost.

Good Stay and Reasonable Nice, friendly staff! Our room was comfortable and clean. Even though it was a bit of a distance to Glacier National Park, it was worth the stay. Located in the older part of Kalispell, but the hotel is well kept and we were still able to find good food without driving far. Would recommend.
