Outstanding staff and comfortable rooms We stayed one night in an accessible king room. The bathroom had a roll in shower and was roomy with a bench inside the shower. The room was clean and very comfortable. When we arrived, the manager turned the air conditioner on for us because she felt the room was too warm. She propped open the door to make it easy for us to get our luggage inside. They are doing some remodeling and the breakfast room was in the process of being painted. They had a few breakfast items such as waffles, biscuits with gravy, cereal, bread and English muffins. There was a not in the room stating that you could go to the Perkins restaurant in front of the hotel and get a 10% discount by showing the room key. The hotel was close to other restaurants, shopping and the Interstate. I highly recommend this hotel

Peaceful stay We stayed here during our daughter’s college softball conference tournament . It was very clean. Check in was easy . Room was clean and we had plenty of towels which at many places has been an issue . The room was quiet and the building was full of softball players . We expected to have noise due to rooms full of softball girls but it was peaceful .Would definitely stay again

Great value The pluses: big room, including a couch with tv (if you’re a tv watcher which I am not) room was clean. Bed was very comfortable, plenty of pillows which were also very comfortable. Room was clean and quiet. Heat/ac worked well. Front staff was adequate. Not overly friendly but not rude. No half-and-half or honey for my tea at breakfast. Employee said they didn’t have half-and-half, but it appeared the next morning. Selections at breakfast were OK, I’ve had better at other hotels with the same price point. But I did not leave hungry.

A good stay with a few minor issues Check in was easy and quick the room was decent size and had a separate couch area. the bathroom was large as well. The bath lighting was pretty lame room lighting was good. there were reading lights and outlets on each side of the bed the room had a big TV with good channel selection. the AC worked well the bed was quite comfortable the hotel was quiet. The hotel had a gym, but it was quite lame; several of the machines were broken and the TV in the gym did not work The business computer also did not work sleep quality was good. the hotel breakfast was quite good. overall despite a few issues it was a good stay

Beware of emergency travel here My coworker had moved to Cookeville Tennessee earlier this month and has not had the time to change her address on her license. This evening she was informed of a death in the close family and rushed back to Kingsport to help. I booked her a two night stay at this hotel to help with her situation. Upon arrival, she was met with an extremely condescending and smug staff member named "Drew" who stated that because of her ID address being within 50 miles of the hotel that she would not be allowed to stay. It is midnight at this time, and options are running out. Thankfully she was able to go close by and book accommodations. No sympathy, no regard for human decency, no empathy...and definitely no help whatsoever from this Drew individual. An empty coffee pot is worth more than any assistance from Drew, and after her 4 hour drive to this hotel, at least a heartfelt apology to her should be forthcoming. This was unexpected and completely unnecessary.
