Overall very impressed It’s always a gamble booking a budget friendly hotel. This was more expensive than I’d have liked to pay for one night, however the hotel seems newly renovated and was very clean and modern. The room we received was clean, smelled clean, and the bed and pillows were comfy. Our bathroom was bright and spotless with new fixtures. Clive, at the front desk, was very friendly and helpful and offered us some bottled water which I think is because I’m a Hilton member. We were also permitted to roll our expensive bikes into the room which was a relief to not have to leave them locked on the bike rack in the parking lot overnight. Overall, I was very impressed.

Sadly disappointed I usually do not review places with a lot of words. Just good or not so good. I may just be tired _ but this is ridiculous. We should have been told that the hotel was under construction. We checked in around 1:00 a.m., and I am totally exhausted from 2 weeks of packing up our house to move 1200 miles away. Battered and bruised, with a very tired puppy tow, we were expecting to sleep in until 10:00 am and not to be woken up at 7:30!! Please, people tell your travelers about all of the hiccups and mishaps going on at your hotel. Then place them, if possible, away from the noise or with that knowledge they can find another hotel!!!

Connecting rooms reserved/paid for, not available upon arrival - Decided to cancel/not stay with what they had left Called Hampton 6/18/24 and reserved 2 connecting queen rooms . Had no problem paying the extra fee for connecting rooms. On 7/17, received email to check in now and email still showed connecting rooms. Received email 7/18 confirming rooms...."Your connecting rooms are confirmed with Confirmed Connecting Rooms by Hilton™". Credit card was charged for both rooms at rate based on reservation made on 6/18. On same day called at 8:09pm stating we would be late due to backups from accidents and construction. Also, asked if the 2 rooms reserved were definitely connecting. Was assured of rooms and stated she would leave a note for night crew that we were coming in late. We arrived at approx. 12:30am 7/19 and was told they DID NOT have connecting rooms, but he could place us on same floor. We cancelled and drove straight thru to home in Kissimmee, FL after having drove to hotel from mid Michigan. Yes, we saved $350+ by cancelling but was and still am pissed for making a reservation a month in advance, was assured even the day of, get charged for, and be told when arrived that connecting rooms were not available.

Lower End Hampton A lower quality Hampton Inn. Beds and pillows are not the quality typical of Hampton and the rooms are smaller and lower material. Staff seemed despondent and checked out. The nearby Hampton Inn at Papermill Knoxville is much, much better. Oh yeah , did I mention the hotel is under construction (I kid you not). The windows are covered up and no lazing about in bed because construction starts first thing in the morning. On the plus side the room was clean.
