AC out at home 4th of July eve and the AC goes out at home. I looked up America's Best and found a rate of $53/night. Called and booked a room. We were charged $76 for the night. The room was cleanish. The toilet wobbled when sat on. The tub was not clean, the water pressure was lacking. The noise level was high with other guests yelling and talking very loud. Breakfast was available no place to sit, but not supposed to take back to the room. Upon check out the clerk was sitting on a couch and when I reached over the desk to return the key card, she finally got up and walked over. I asked about the room rate online and showed it to her. She said that's not our website. We charge what the computer says when you check in. I guess I watch too much Hotel Impossible... Other hotels close by, choose wisely

Its a roof I gave this 2 stars because the front desk help was friendly and well, hey it was a roof over a heads. However, it was deep down dirty. We didn't dare walk on the floor, the headboard had some sort of stickyness from people repeatedly propped their heads up against it (so gross). The sheets had burn holes in them even though it was supposed to be non-smoking. The cleaning lady, bless her heart, would not give me clean towels...I traded her the dirty towels and she kept saying "I come by later"; after 3 x of this I had to emphasis that I needed them now. We also asked several times for an extra pillow and the same thing happened, she kept asking "you don't have pillows?, I come by later. There were other options available, but we needed a place to stay under $100 as we got stuck in this godforsaken place for the whole weekend.

3rd Time isn't a Charm. I have stayed at this location three or four times over the past year, and will not return. 1. The rooms have exterior doors making for a noisy stay. 2. The breakfast is Bare Bones... waffles cereal toast and apples - nothing more. 3. Breakfast is always pulled down 15 to 30 minutes early. 4. There's no welcome book or channel guide.

La Porte, TX The front desk person was very friendly and tried to be accommodating. His limitations with English hindered him somewhat but he was very nice. The room was clean but not in vet good shape. The light over the bath sink didn't work. There were large burn holes in some of the linens and a very worn out desk chair. The trash can close to our room in the outside reeked of something dead. We had our young grandchildren with us who woke up hungry. The only thing out for breakfast was a little dry cereal, bread and a toaster. Coffe and milk were also available. Overall it wasn't someplace I would choose to stay again
