Friendly, Aging – Adequate for the Price, Location, Date BOTTOM LINE: Clean linens and great staff means I wouldn't hesitate to stay here again. I totally understand the lower rated reviews. The carpet needed cleaning. The sheets and duvets were worn and ready for replacement. Breakfast selections being individually packaged due to COVID didn't appeal so we went to McD's down the street. Comfort Inns generally offer better. HOWEVER, reasonably priced suites are hard to locate anywhere, let alone this close to downtown Chicago, and the current labor shortage has been blamed for far worse. (Many hotels have closed their pools and cancelled breakfast without updating their webpage to reflect it!) I challenge anyone to find better at this price and location in 2021. // P.S. My thanks to staff for having the AC already running in my room after I called ahead for late check-in <3

Very disappointing The hotel was dated, dirty and disheveled. The bathroom was unclean and the shower rod was ripped from the wall and reinstalled incorrectly. Asked and received a new room which was as bad as the first. Unclean and uncared for. Left the hotel with a full refund.

No redeeming features.. Where to begin? Upon walking into the room all you smell is that of stale cigarettes. I can smell marijuana from my next door neighbor even though it's a smoke-free Hotel. Ownership has no Pride in the hotel and it shows. My first night while trying to take a shower I noticed that the tub was filling with water require me to call the front desk who came up and removed a massive hairball from the drain. I need a to clean the bathtub after that water was drained. Stained furniture. Dirty carpet. Lumpy bed. Covers which look like they haven't been replaced in years. Broken ceiling tiles in the bathroom and stains on the ceiling. I've stayed at better and cleaner 1 star hotels. Cannot recommend.

NEVER AGAIN! WORST EXPERIENCE! My family stayed there while in Chicago for a funeral and we were all extremely disappointed in this hotel. It’s nothing like it portrays online. We stayed 3 nights and our room was never cleaned once! They ran out of towels the first night and told us we could wait til 1 pm they’ll have more clean towels so instead we went to a nearby Walmart to buy our own towels. The carpet was badly stained in places, the toilet paper holder and bathroom robe hook fell off(maintenance did come and fix), we had coffee cups and condiments but no in room coffee maker, and a remote with no back. There was only two front desk staff that was very helpful and tried to accommodate us a little(younger guy and an older lady). I couldn’t wait to leave that hotel. That hotel was not worth the price and I’ve stayed in cheaper motels that were way better in service and amenities than this hotel!

Loud Music throughout hotel 24/7 - no sleep Needed to stay one night while travelling from CA. Front desk staff in the morning and afternoon were very nice, however not so much for the night clerk. The lobby music played 24/7 and we could hear it in our room which was on the top floor. At 2:00am I called the desk to investigate where the noise was coming from not realizing it was from the Lobby. Finally at 4:00 am we packed up and left and discovered the music was from the lobby - probably to keep the desk clerk awake. For what reason should a hotel feel the need to play welcome music loud throughout the night when travellers are trying to rest. Will never stay there again. On the plus side, bed was comfy and fridge had a freezer.
