Luxor Satisfaction The Luxor is a great bargain for an older hotel on the Strip. Its excellent location and amenities make it a good choice for people new to the Vegas experience.

One time only We had mixed feelings. The room was sold as newly renovated this was not the case however it was large little outdated. It was clean and we had a view of the pool. The pool was a let down. No shade unless u paid. Only one pool opened overcrowded. Closed the one pool for the afternoon we were there. I didn't like the smoking indoors . The que to check in was large took forever to get to end. I wouldn't stay again. Enjoyed vagas but the distance was a nightmare to walk to main streets.

Ok Luxor is impressive from the outside but a bit dated inside. When we arrived the checkin was very slow with only two people operating the checkin desks. I knew about the resort fees but to then be told that we would have to pay 125$ a night deposit was a bit off putting. Yes we got it back after checking out a few days later still a pain when you don’t budget for it. Anyway we were allocated our room in the green area, which is a bit of a walk away from reception and the elevators are different as they don’t go just up and down. We were in the main building and not the towers, in fact we weren’t even offered an upgrade. The room was spacious but a little tired decoration wise. Our view was ok looking at the nearby Mandalay Hotel. The only problem we had really was the ice machine outside our room being used at 3 in the morning, disturbing our sleep. There is a selection of restaurants which we didn’t use but did on one occasion did use one of the food venders in the food court which I found very overpriced especially being charged $16 for a can of larger. We didn’t use the casino as don’t have any interest but my wife had a go on the roulette table, just to say she had. We didn’t have a clue on minimum bets or anything and asked the table operator to help with very little response coming forward. Overall stay was ok but if we were to return wouldn’t stay in the particular hotel.
