Clean Comfort Inn Layton Hotel is tucked away just off the freeway. Ample parking - very clean and safe area. Front desk staff very friendly and helpful. Check-in was easy and seamless. Stayed here for one night on a stop from Idaho to California. Room and property were immaculately clean. Morning hot breakfast was well-appointed. On-site laundry was great and much-needed.

Disappointing for Comfort Inn, noisy room and several issues A potentially good hotel if management did a better job. Cons: - Upon arrival on Aug. 7 2024 at about 07:30 pm, we had to wait for about 30 minutes to get our booked room because of a long queue. I don't blame the lady at the front desk doing her best, but the hotel management for understaffing - When we booked, we asked for a quiet room, but the room we got (no 225) was on the highway side, and was poorly insulated. We could also hear every step of the guests on the room in the floor above. This must be a cheap construction without enough floor insulation. I didn't sleep well the first night because of that. - Another issue was the absence of housekeeping. We stayed 2 nights and when returning to our room on the second evening, our beds had not been made and the trash cans hadn't been emptied. I had to ask for dry towels and extra toiletries. The lady at the reception told me that this was normal, and that housekeeping only comes after 3 days. Not replacing sheets is OK but I'm not sure the lady understood that we didn't get housekeeping at all, which might be a mistake. - Last, the breakfast was disappointing comparing to Comfort Inn in Twin Falls / Jerome Idaho. There was less choice. Some items like Cinnamon Rolls or bananas were not replenished at 8:30, and at 9:00 access to the food area was abruptly closed without prior warning. Not very customer friendly. My wife even got temporarily locked that part of the breakfast room while she waited for a last waffle to be ready. I also blame management for this. Pros: - Comfortable bed and well equipped room (fridge, safe, microwave) - Quite silent air conditioning - Cheap self-service laundry - Well appreciated ice water with lemon, and coffee available the whole day long - Very pleasant pool and spa area, with towels provided. I would have added one more star if this hotel made efforts to reduce plastic waste. Not only having breakfast is more pleasant with ceramic plates and cups, metal silverware and glass glasses, but also plastic waste takes hundreds of years to decompose, releasing nanoparticles of plastics in the environment. Such particles are toxic for the whole foodchain, including for us humans. Many hotels are already committed to reducing plastic waste, especially in Europe. This hotel could participate to this effort for the sake of future generations.

Be careful you don't get what you pay for. Be careful when booking here they will give you whatever room is available and not what you booked. I booked a 2 queen 1 bedroom suite through a 3rd party and when I arrived I got a 2 double bed room. Even after showing them I booked a suite, only thing they would offer me is a king room for another 150.00. I already paid 150.00 for the suite why would I pay another 150.00 for a room with less beds? Then they lied to the 3rd party saying I received what I booked. They claim they are queen beds when in fact they are double beds. You can barely get 2 people on them comfortably. The beds themselves were just as hard as the floor my daughter ended up sleeping on due to lack of beds I rented. The room itself was clean. Breakfast was okay. No towels in the swimming pool. Lady at the front desk was obviously overworked. Poor management to only have one person working on a weekend when they were fully booked. I will not recommend this place or stay again. Liars and thieves are the worst kind of people. Honesty is the best business practice and when you make a mistake you don't lie about it you own up to it and make it right. Keep in mind if you need something there is no stores nearby within walking distance. There is a mall close by but I wouldn't recommend walking there.

Amazing staff Upon arrival the night clerk Lisa was so pleasant. She inquired as to what we were traveling for as we reside in Oregon. I explained we had just dropped our daughter off in Phoenix for her first year of college. She could see that I was a bit emotional and asked if she could give me a hug. Such a kind gesture. The hotel was clean and the room we booked was very spacious and the price was reasonable. Would definitely stay here again.
