Such a pretty town! We came here to walk through the downtown area. So much history and the people are so nice. We went through the museum on the hill, went to the Barnwood Builder shop, ate at the best pizza shop. Lovely area to just take a drive. Or wander through the shops. Lots of locally made items. Very relaxing getaway.

Met our essential needs We typically stay at Holiday Inn Express when we travel because we find them comfortable and clean. They usually update and renovate their hotels every 10 years. This one is due for a renovation and update. It's a little tired looking but clean. Friendly staff. The beds were not comfortable and the sheets were very thin and lacking - not the nice crisp cotton sheets we're used to from other hotels. Definitely need new beds and bedding. A little warm - tried to get room temperature cool enough for us to sleep (it was 33° outside and we had the air conditioner running to keep room at 67° but wasn't able to get it to 67°) We didn't really partake of the breakfast area but it looked clean and plentiful. The location is great with several restaurants near by. Walmart right next door. The downtown area is very quaint and a must if you're here. It's just a short drive down the street. And if you're visiting Greenbrier Resort, it's just 10 -15 minutes away.

good experience/location Good experience and great location. Not far from family and Cass scenic railroad. Staff friendly. The only downside was that the shower head was broken and would slide down and swing out during a shower and spray water on the floor and the shower pan was cracked. The front desk was made aware as we were checking out. The lady was very nice and thanked us for letting her know about it. She logged on the maintenance log while we were standing there. The town is beautiful to drive around in. The Walmart is great and again the staff working there were friendly. Definitely will stay there again.

Pancake Syrup and Fake Fingernails. 1 night stay. Pretty bad IHG. Room was not cleaned well. Previous tenant spilled pancake syrup all over the fridge and the entire room stunk. Had to clean the fridge ourselves after a late check in (went to front desk for cleaning supplies.) Thermostat and AC not working so couldn’t even get a fan going to blow the smell out. Pull out couch had not been vacuumed - found some fake fingernails laying under the cushions. I ho early thought COVID had changed the rules on cleaning requirements - not here.

Decent Two-night Stay Stayed here two nights as part of a recent cross country bus trip. Our room was on the 2nd floor. Hotel location is well situated near Walmart; small strip mall with variety of businesses & several restaurants; & fast food places nearby. Good walkability around hotel area for the exercisers. Parking seems adequate. Quiet area. Cemetery next to hotel grounds on one side. Hotel pool & spa closed for renovation. Staff was accommodating during our stay. Complimentary breakfast bar offered good variety. Got a little understocked our first day from insurgence of patrons. No house cleaning on multi-day stay unless requested. Hotel does show some wear and tear; & speculate it’s been some time since its last renovation. Room cleanliness was average & did report a couple maintenance items needing attention to front desk during our stay. I’d stay here again & consider it a good choice for anyone requiring overnight lodging in Lewisburg.
