Comfort Suites East Lincoln - Mall Area

Okay but in serious need of repair/renovation (see photos) My wife and I stayed here one night and probably would look for other options if back in the area. We had to wait about 15 minutes in a very hot lobby to check in while the person ahead of us dealt with some issue. When we finally got to our room we noticed a large patch on the bathroom door where it looks like someone had punched the door. Someone did a rough fill on the door but did not sand or repaint as you can see from the photos. There were cracks in the drywall and one of the bathroom light fixtures was missing. The room did seem to be clean and the bed was not the most comfortable but okay. Breakfast was average to slightly below. We did not try the pool. This property could definitely use some maintenance.

Clean hotel with FANTASTIC continental breakfast and friendly employees! We booked a two night stay because we were in Lincoln for a family gathering. We were very impressed with this Comfort Suites East hotel. The front desk area was clean, the people working at the desk were very polite and helpful, and the hotel itself was in a nice neighborhood. There was a bus of kids participating in a baseball tournament and we were concerned it might get loud at night, but it was amazingly quiet and we slept great. The room was clean and well stocked with a microwave and mini fridge. The bed had a pillowtop mattress and was super comfortable. The best part was the continental breakfast in the morning! It had an excellent variety of food including eggs, sausages, waffles, bagels, coffee, juice, muffins, cereal, yogurt, oatmeal, and toast. There was not one single complaint we had about this hotel and we would absolutely recommend it to anyone going to the Lincoln, Nebraska area.

4:00 Check in time? You gotta be kidding. 4:00 check in time is unacceptable. It is not rocket surgery – service vacated rooms first, allow guests in when they arrive. This does not cost the motel anything extra, it is just better management. There were no USB charging stations. The rooms at Comfort Suites East were properly designed with a solid bathroom door that locks. We have been thoroughly disappointed by the recent trend to translucent, unlockable sliding bathroom doors. Our double queen room was large and fully equipped: big TV with lots of channels; fast enough WiFi with no password; desk with office chair; microwave; a couple of large drawers; sofa; upholstered chair; closet with door and wooden hangers; luggage rack; padded footstools/coffee tables; controllable HVAC unit under the window; night stand between the queen beds; fairly effective black out curtains, plenty of lights; iron and ironing board; enough counter space in the bathroom; hair dryer; coffee maker; ample hot water in the shower. Room did not meet my definition of a suite, but there is a partial room divider between the beds and sitting area. We suffered repetitive problems with magnetic strip key cards in a couple of rooms, might take ten tries to properly scan, sometimes we would get the green light, but the door handle wouldn't “catch”. Our bed was short sheeted, I hate to have to remake a motel bed. Included breakfast was standard Comfort Suites fare: three kinds of dry cereal; DIY waffles; bagels; scrambled eggs; sausage; yogurt, and more, I found it satisfying.

Yikes Yikes. I mean I’m all good if a place is a little run down or needs some work, but I woke up with bites I didn’t go to sleep with, so that’s not great. I pulled the sheets back to find little bits of black crud all crumbled through them, so clearly they hadn’t been washed. There are other hotels in this town - pick one of them.

Bad experience for me Came out of the shower and stepped on the nails holding the carpeting down where the tile and carpet meet. Had to go to the hospital for a tetanus shot. The AC would not turn off unless you pull the plug out of the wall. Hot water side..bathroom sink, no pressure. Told the front desk staff...didn't have me change rooms. Was told, would issue refund though. Next mornin, told different staff about the problems and was told, manager would contact me and refund issued. Manager never contacted me. I called the motel 5 different days to no avail. No refund issued. I now see numerous negative reviews about this place and management has never reached out to them also. I called the home office and they never gotten back to me. Been 5 weeks now.
