Quiet, comfortable stay Clean, quiet, comfortable basic hotel. We appreciated the ice water in the lobby on a hot day. Conveniently located across the parking lot from Natural Grocers (yay!) and around the corner from a Target. Pool was warm. Use the phone to call for help & someone will be at the desk quickly.

Don’t Have stayed here for annual visits to Lincoln. This, however, will be the final visit to New Victorian. The staff is rude, (even asking for a receipt at checkout seemed to be a great inconvenience). The breakfast area was not kept up this visit, with food/cleanliness. Seems to be running down hill. On a positive note and this is the reason I scored a 2 was that the room was clean and the cleaning couple were super nice and genuinely cared if everything was ok.

Terrible place I would give 0 stars if I could. First room we got had human poop on it. Second room was covered in mold and the third room had a broken fridge that wouldn’t shut up all night. We got a “refund” but I would NOT recommend ever staying here. Service is terrible. They try calling the cops or manager before giving an itemized receipt.

Do not go, pick anywhere else This could not have been a worse choice of a hotel. We had the worst experience from start to finish on what was supposed to be a fun family trip to the Lincoln Zoo. First, we called to book our rooms. We told them we had AAA and asked them what their lowest possible rate was. They told us it was $110 plus tax, which given the hotels downtown were over $200, it sounded like a deal. Then after getting off the phone I chose to search the hotel on the various online outlets and found it as low as $79 plus tax. I called the hotel back to tell them about this offer only to be greeted with a hostile person whose English was so broken I could not understand him. He screamed at me for at least 2-3 minutes, and said it would cost $50 a room to cancel. I then emailed the GM of the hotel and told him this story. He apologized for his front desk staff and said they would match the price, so I figured/hoped that would be the end of it, but I was sorely mistaken. Once we arrived for our weekend with a bunch of things that needed refrigerated upon arrival, we learned our room’s refrigerator didn’t work. It was plugged in and on, but room temperature. We then asked to change room, and once in that room we found a fridge that worked, but rattled excessively when it cooled. We figured the rest of the hotel was like this, so we just lived with it Since we arrived earlier on a Friday afternoon, we figured we would take our 4-year-old daughter to try the pool, but once we walked in, we found a larger high school-aged kid in the pool with a beach ball screaming at the top of his lungs. He was talking to the ball and it was safe to say he wasn’t in a good mental place. Furthermore, the kid’s swimming trunks were barely on him, so we weren’t about to expose (literally) our toddler to that. When I told the front desk staff about him, they started laughing and smiling and said “yeah, they stay in Room 112.” I gathered that this meant they are long term residents of the hotel and this isn’t the first time this was an issue. Fast forward to us spending more time in our room. The vinyl flooring in the bathroom was bubbling up, the fire sprinkler in our room had exposed pipe and a large hole for who knows what to crawl into the room and instead of repainting the ceiling from what we imagined would be a leaky roof and stained areas, they clearly just painted kils on it and hoped no one would notice. We then left to get more things and found that the door to our room didn’t close all the way and needed to be pulled or pushed tight. This was a 2-night stay, and on our 2nd night (Saturday night into a Sunday), the entire hotel was woken up to the fire alarm at 5:30 a.m. The entire hotel had to be evacuated, and as you can imagine with a toddler - we were up for the day. We’ve had a terrible experience, and I hope that this review can help you avoid the two days we can not get back!

Bugs and mold So it was terrible. There were bugs in the beds(spiders and a tick). And then we asked to switch rooms and they gave us a room that smelled really bad and had mold in the ac vent. After we reported that, they refused to switch us to another room without having us pay for another one.
