Return to Holiday Inn What a surprise I was taking Auto Train from Lorton Virginia to Sanford Florida and decided that driving the day before was the best idea for two seniors. I started looking for a one night stay. What a surprise I returned to a hotel chain I hadn’t utilized in years…….AND WOW…..what a surprise…..

Mrs Sheila was absolutely amazing so very helpful I wanted to come and personally give kudos to Ms Sheila. She was working the front desk and was a absolute breath of fresh air, super helpful, smile on her face top notch all the way. I would literally stay at this hotel again because of her. Thank you so much you did an amazing job and you deserve recognition. She gave Superior service.... Extremely pleased five stars

Harassment and rude employee I booked a stay at the Holiday Inn Express Lorton for March 23rd and 24th. It is presently 8:14am on March 23rd and my stay is not satisfactory at all. The first issue that I encountered is the lack of water pressure at the bathroom sink because we barely had water. The second issue my companion and I encountered was a malfunctioning microwave in the room that did not produce heat. The third issue was slow elevator in which one elevator was functioning. When I stay at a Holiday Inn, I shouldn't be able to hear the person in the next room blowing their nose in the middle of the night and interrupting my sleep. Secondly, we should not hear guests slamming the doors. I can overlook many of these issues and not hold the hotel as accountable, but when I have the staff member Carina approach me while gathering breakfast, looking at my plates, asking how many people are in my room and my companion is standing beside me is totally inexcusable. As a silver elite member with IHG hotels, I have never in my life been treated or profiled so unfairly. If I am correct that is not part of employee training through Holiday Inn orientation. If it is part of the orientation of employees, I would suggest that it is removed immediately so the establishment is not sued for harassment. Since this incident occurred, my companion called the front desk to addresses what has happened to us and we will be will be contacting General manager Maria Harris to further discuss this matter.

Disappointing experience out of the 4 Hotels across the Country. Traveling from California due to military orders, this was the fourth hotel I stopped at and not expecting due to the highly praised reviews I was given from family and friends on this hotel was the worst experience I’ve had. Walking in I was told a room was 3 hundred and change. When I asked if there were any discounts for military on orders I was told there weren’t and if anything I would have to pay more. I ended up getting a room online instead for $297 which is better than $3 hundred and change. The room they gave me had a water issue in the bathroom. The receptionist came and cleaned it 15 minutes later then asked if it’s okay for me to leave the sink the way it was with the disgusting brown water around the sink. The next day in the morning I checked out, my card got charged $200 plus and another charge of $25. This made no sense. I did speak to the General Manager but nothing besides having someone new working the night shift by himself and we just refunded your money back two days later after I had called but yet the money seemed to still be taken out of my account still and it’s been more than 15 hours of me speaking to the GM. Giving this place a 1 star is me being generous. The continental breakfast was terrible as well. Watered down juice. So the only thing I went for to not be disappointed was their water. They did have good Cinnabons on the side though.

A ok Went in prep for amtrak train the following day. Very convenient location out to the road turn left maybe a half mile or less to amtrak. Nice rooms great bed nice breakfast. Made reservation on line much cheaper than at the hotel desk especially with aarp or va discount. No indoor poor but still a great place to stay.
