WOW! It's an AMAZING Gem of a place to stay We stayed here because it was pet friendly, but it turned out to be one of the highlights of our trip. This hotel is well loved and we would highly recommend it. I know I will be back. I also appreciated the location and the FREE shuttle to get to Shepler's Ferry to catch the boat to Mackinac Island.

Holiday inn Express needs a refresh. The hotel is old and needs a refresh. Molding missing everywhere. Paint peeling, missing hooks in bathroom (where there clearly had been) We had to leave early because my husband was not feeling well. I expected that we would not get a refund but we didn't even get I kind word from the front desk. Just "ok" and she took the keys.

Mini king suite with toddler We stayed in a "mini king suite" in July 2024 and had a bridge view room on the 4th floor. Hotel and room were great. There was considerable road noise from the highway, but that didn't bother us at all. The living room area was great for letting the kid run around a bit. Bedroom was spacious enough to hold our toddler travel bed at the foot of the king bed with space to move around. Staff was friendly and helpful and the free breakfast and coffee were nice to have.

Enjoyable and clean We went last week for four days last week and our stay was enjoyable. The hotel was recently updated and clean. Staff were friendly and welcoming. The continental breakfast was good for adults and for our 10 and 7 yr old. It was close enough to everything and price was decent for Mackinaw City.

Trip with my two adult daughters to ferry the next day to the island for a few days. The hotel is convenient, clean and the staff is always friendly. It is close to restaurants and the ferries. The rooms are always clean. I have stayed here many times and will continue to make it a place to stay when going on day trips to Mackinaw Island and road trips round the UP in Michigan. Its dependable.
