Baymont by Wyndham Manistee

Was clean. Satisfied with our overnight stay Satisfied. Read reviews that rooms were dirty bed uncomfortable. We thought the room were clean and the beds were okay

Not worth the money Terrible wayer pressure in shower, toilet took hours to fill to flush, ice machine not in service. Bedding wrinkled and looked used

Affordable Pool and hotub area was clean. Check in was a breeze. Staff was nice. Was affordable. Suppose the breakfast could've been better but I'm not complaining

Will stay here again. We are seeing some negative reviews and don't know why. Our stay was excellent. Front desk staff was helpful and inviting. Room was clean, comfortable and everything was in working order. The breakfast in the morning had everything we wanted. The breakfast room staff was personable and asked us several times if there was anything they could do for us. The pool area was clean. Don't let the outside of the building fool you.

Cleanliness and security issues We booked a room at the Baymont in Manistee to get out of the storms coming to the area. The indoor pool was a huge draw. First impression of the outside would have made me drive on by if we'd had another option to entertain my grandson. And I should have. The outside is in extreme disrepair. It clearly wasn't built as a Baymont and I'm not sure how they keep their franchise. Doors were propped open making me concerned about security. Lobby area looked like it had had some renovation so I figured we would take a chance. They put us on the 2nd floor and there were no elevators. Not a problem if I'm just walking, but lugging our suitcases was a pain in the @$$. Quick stop in the room for the grandson to change. Checked the mattresses, even unzipping the covers. They were clean and looked new. Pool area needed some TLC and a good scrubbing. Windows had broken seals because they were full of condensation between the panes. The chlorine stench was overwhelming and burned our eyes. One gentleman was in so much pain from the chemicals in his eyes that I went to my car to get a bottle of saline for him to flush them. Clearly rather than cleaning the pool they are just dumping more chemicals in. Back in our room I bent down to pick up something for my grandson and the floor between the beds was covered in TOENAIL CLIPPINGS!! They clearly had not vacuumed the room as these were right in the traffic path. Loading our car the next morning our key cards stopped working. And once again with no elevator it was a couple more trips up and down to get them reprogrammed. We were glad to go and we would NOT recommend.
