Unexpected great find! Because of a last minute change to our vacation dates, we had to find a place to stay for the last two nights of our trip. Tamarack Lodge turned out to be a great find! We were in the Griz cabin, which was adequate for a family of 4. Very clean. All basic kitchen amenities and cooking space available. Tasty coffee in the cabin. Bathroom is small but adequate. Very nice lawn area with picnic shelter, fire ring, and to our delight, lawn games. We particularly loved playing some Cornhole. Our only complaint was the queen bed was a little rickety, and every move from your sleeping partner will wake the other up. Comfy sheets and bedding though. Perfect location between West Glacier and Columbia Falls/Whitefish area. There is a restauranr and bar on-site which we did not use. The are a number of other restaurants very nearby which were very good.

Very accommodating, great stay! We were a family of 5 planning a last minute trip to Glacier after a year of COVID confinement. It was tough to find a place to stay for a group our size last minute and originally we booked a single room and planned to have a cot brought in to squeeze us all in. The front desk host, Paul, was super helpful in staying on top of our reservation and booking every alternate room that also became available. In the end it all came together and we kept our one hotel room and move to a different additional cabin each night so that we had plenty of room. Paul, Zoiya, Courtney and Vanessa were all awesome and super helpful! We enjoyed our stay very much. Helpful tip - you can rent bear spray from the front desk for your hikes in GNP.

Nice place to stay Very nice cabin, we had the bison and it was more than enough room for two families of 4. The employees were very nice and helpful. The grounds were family friendly with outdoor activities and very well taken care of. The only downside for us was that the cabin didn’t have air conditioning so it took awhile to cool down in the evening. But it is worth a stop if you are in town

Convenient to Glacier National Forest We recently stayed in the Antelope cabin during our trip to Glacier National Forest. This property is conveniently located roughly 20 minutes to the west park main gate. The cabin was clean and the kitchen well stocked. It does not have a/c so we slept with the windows open. Road noise didn’t bother us during the night as it pretty much only picks up around 4.30/5.00 am in the morning, which was basically the time we were getting up at. My only complaint was the WiFi didn’t work but overall we enjoyed our stay. I would recommend Tamarack and will definitely be back.

Musty and dusty Walk into small room and the first thing that hits you is the musty smell. Went directly to desk area and asked if all the single bed rooms smell that way and was told “yes”. Went to store and bought a scented candle. Dust on top of closet and cabinet. TV did not work. Stain on bedspread and blanket. Toilet did not flush properly. We did not expect four star lodging, but after reading the reviews , we thought it would be nice. Part of a two week vacation with stays at ten different locations, this was hands down the worst!
