Nice place at a nice price Five star review not because this place is a luxury hotel, but because it does being a Hampton Inn—basic amenities at a decent price—very well. I arrived at the end of a 13-hour day, tired from driving. The room was ready, clean, and the front desk people were friendly and engaging. Bed was very comfortable, WiFi signal was good, shower excellent. If you need a place to stay along I-81/77, I can recommend here. One caution—if you’re arriving late, eat before you get to Fort Chiswell, as there isn’t much near the hotel.

WOULD NOT RECOMMEND!!! We stayed there on our way through and were told our first transaction didn’t go through so they reran our card and ended up charging us twice. The next morning before checking out we brought this to the hotel staff and after saying they would fix it it still has not been refunded. We were told the general manager would have to fix it. We called later that day and could still not talk to the manager but only was able to speak to a “Ron”. We brought up the problem that the morning staff left a note about and “Ron” called us liars the next day and refused to let us talk to the manager. He said we must’ve booked two rooms and said he found out story hard to believe. We’re still fighting to get out money back as we never booked two rooms and were told it would be fixed. He was very unprofessional and hung up on us multiple times. He said he did not care about the problem and we could film him hanging up or write a bad review and it would not affect him. Do not stay unless you want money taken from you and to be treated poorly as a customer.

CAUTION!! Normally we’ve never had a problem at Hampton inns till now. When we checked into our room it had a strong chemical fragrance smell that was objectionable. After a few minutes my wife complained that her lips were tingling and she felt uneasy.Needless to stay we exited the room and canceled our stay due to health concerns. The hotel refused to issue a refund they said it was against company policy . We left and booked a room at another hotel.

Good road trip stop The room was clean and appropriate. Service was okay. No one went out of their way to ensure that everything was good -but it was as expected. Didn't stay for breakfast in the morning. One night stay after a 12 hour drive, worth stopping will probably be back.

Worth the stay Wonderful staff!! I checked in after midnight and was greeted in a wonderfully welcoming manner! A definite plus in my book for a weary traveler!! Basic options for breakfast, but plenty of each option so you don’t miss out on anything. Clean place that’s easy to get to as it’s right off a major interstate. Gas and local amenities are very close by.
