Great Hotel For its Price I stayed here a tuesday and i can say it was a very welcoming place the staff was rly nice and brought only good vibes the room i stayed in was clean and private i did a great use of the pool since that day the pool was open all night. I also really enjoyed the breakfeast something i would recommend everyone trying if ur looking for a traditional mexican breakfeast and a mix of buffet on the side, it wont hurt ur pockets either ;)

Perfect stay The service was great, easy and fast to book it. Also the room was super clean and fresh. It was perfect. Since I love to shop and the plaza mall is almost next to it. I loved that they had a pool for this extreme weather. Definitely coming back here again soon whenever I’m back in the valley.

Best experience Excellent treatment from the staff, the rooms are very clean and tidy and the location is excellent. The breakfast is very varied. I have more left for the entire weekend and we didn't have any details and now with the heat the pool is one of the best things. I highly recommend it.

An unpleasant experience. The worst hotel to stay in McAllen, I truly rather sleep in a camping tent at La Plaza Mall parking than in Clarion Inn Hotel. Rooms aren’t clean, the shower can’t be turned off and all the time is dripping water, room mates are really annoying and they won’t stop screaming at mid night. Totally regret it. Better stay at Best Western!

Does not meet brand standards or expectations The staff at the property appear to be either teenagers or retirees. They try hard, but it's not fair to either employees or guests to put a young front desk clerk in charge of an entire hotel with no other staff present. Unfortunately, the property is on its last legs and should be closed for renovations. I can't believe Choice somehow allows the Clarion flag to be used; this property cannot possibly meet even their limited and lax brand standards. The first room I checked into had a broken light. Since maintenance staff wasn't available to fix it, I was moved into another room, but the shower didn't work in that room. In the morning, I was eventually able to get a key to the first room, where the shower did work, but I had to push really hard for this (I did pay for a room with a shower). Security is poor; the security door at the entrance doesn't close on its own and remains propped open. The room was very tired, and wasn't very clean. There were suspicious white dribbling stains on both bed skirts. The lampshade was broken on the bedside lamp. A spider greeted me malevolently; I dispensed with him swiftly. The bed was comfortable enough, if you overlooked how dirty it was (I was tired, so I did). For the price this property charges, I expected more. Stay somewhere else.
