This the place to go! The Wingate is newly renovated. It is pet friendly& I saw 2 or 3 dogs & met one while there. The front desk & housekeeping staff are so kind & accommodating for my requests. I enjoyed staying here for nearly a week in King rooms on the first, second and third floors because I checked out a couple of times and returned. The rooms had no odor unless they had just been disinfected and there was a chlorine order for a few minutes. Electrical outlets and USB ports are numerous. The rooms are clean, large and spacious. The beds are very comfy! There are different thicknesses and firmness of pillows from which to choose. The included breakfast is a buffet of cubed(a first for me), tasty, scrambled eggs, bacon, sausage, fresh pancakes, yogurts, pastries, fruits, juices, coffee and tea. The neighborhood is not considered the best. I felt safe walking around the outside of the hotel for exercise. There is an area in the back parking lot that looks like a fire pit that is being revamped. I also like using the stairs for exercise and found the stairwells newly painted, pleasant, clean, and very well illuminated. Because I booked on a third party platform online I had a great deal! Choose the Wingate by Wyndham Memphis east for your stay! You'll be glad you did!

Quiet, comfortable stay. Extremely welcoming and friendly staff. Well stocked breakfast with a variety of fresh, tasty items. Secure packaging lot, well lit and fenced in. Room was nicely heated upon arrival. Comfortable bed, but regular-type bedding did not fit the extra thick mattress; found myself directly on the mattress in the morning because the fitted sheet and mattress cover had come loose during the night. Water temp was ok, but it could have been hotter. Also, it took a very long time to heat up (almost 10 minutes). Overall, our stay was pleasant — quiet and comfortable.

I had plan to stay three days in memphis so i choose wingate by wyndham i loved my staying there but availability is a problem. The location and cleaness of the room is very good, and i definetly recommend this place but still alot of thing should be change to the recent demand and technology for example the shower and bed style is a little bit out dated but overall i loved my staying thank you for all stuff members.

Double Charged for Room with Bugs I booked this hotel on Booking.com, having never stayed overnight in Memphis before. Upon arrival, I was double-billed for a room I had already paid for. The parking lot felt unsafe, especially for leaving our car with rooftop storage overnight, despite the security cameras everywhere. The hotel itself was in poor condition; the elevator was run-down, and we found bugs scattering across the countertops and near the bed in our room. Unsurprisingly, we grabbed our bags and left. While the man at the front desk offered us a room free of charge, I wouldn’t stay anywhere in that hotel after what we saw. I’m still waiting on my refund. Lesson learned about trusting reviews on Booking.com—it's safer to stick with familiar places

Decent room for the price Staff was friendly. Good breakfast options(but waffle maker was broken). Bed was comfortable and clean. There were some of the items in the room that seemed out of place. The desk chair was very worn on the arms and seat. It should have been thrown away. The toilet seat was very loose but useable. Bathroom finishes were old but clean. Workout room was out of service. For the price it was a decent room.
