Dubious management against maintenance and for profit only There is no budget for maintenance, the place is simply falling apart, read the genuine reviews, the fve star ones are single reviews only and you know what that means. The food was awful across the board, the reason was cost cutting on the ingredients, watery ketchup, thick frozen tasteless burgers, chicken that appeared to have been deep frozen for decades literally a plate of string. The sausages tasted funky the bacon stank, in fact I am minded to ask environmental health to investigate the source if the meat supplier as numerous old vans were arriving and departing unloading god only what. Not a single van or delivery lorry had any identifiable branding, this is is if concern, numerous people in my party of over 100 complained about the food being terrible. The heating is turned off at night as is the hot water so in the morning its cold and water is lukewarm, the breakfast area was freezing. I asked for a heater and an extra blanket for the second night and they threw it on my unmade bed and didn’t change the towels or make the bed see photo. I had to ask for the room to be made up, late afternoon. Some of the staff are in uniform but theres lots of scruffy looking staff not in uniform seemingly confused about their roles. The pool had a sign saying closed indefinitely and that is due to no maintenance and no investment into the property. The golf was popular whereas the hotel not so much, so just focus on the genuine hotel review’s. I really do not like being misled or overcharged or experiencing an owner or management looking at cutting cost across the board which looks borderline shady.

Lovely weekend away We had a lovely time at the Forest of Arden. Easily accessible, ample parking, spacious rooms, clean bathrooms, large restaurant and bar and efficient service. Despite the place being full, the hotel staff seemed to have everything under control and took every effort to ensure everything was lovely for us. Wide spread for breakfast and dinner buffets as well made it even better. Mathew and William at the restaurant were very helpful and paid attention to small details like ensuring we got the right table suitable for a large group with children. Easy access to the pool, gym, sauna and steam room, and very safe for kids. It was indeed very family friendly. Proximity to Resort World Birmingham was an added advantage. We would definitely be going back again.

Absolutely gorgeous! We came for a spa night away to celebrate my friends 50th birthday. From the point of booking it, the staff have been awesome. We were allowed to arrive anytime that day and go and enjoy the spa. The food throughout from the zest bar and then the restaurant in the evening and breakfast was amazing. All the staff at the hotel were super friendly and helpful. My therapist was amazing she used the right amount of pressure for my massage and it was the best massage I’ve had for a long time. We chatted to lots of hotel guests and members, it’s such a friendly place and our room was lovely. Thank you to everyone for making our stay so special. We will come back definitely.
