Why Is This The Best South Beach Hotel For Me? I could have chosen other hotels with higher rates and more amenities but I always book with Breakwater. This place and the room I always request is my home away from home, of course, with different sceneries. Location is also walkable to many restaurants and shops . I have noticed some of the staff are new but the atmosphere and friendliness still unchanged or gotten better. Special mention to Lily, the manager for checking that everything is going smoothly throughout my stay and also to Jorge for resolving the billing issue with AAvacations. I'm looking forward to next stay. Thanks!

Hotel stole money from my credit card and still have not returned it I recently stayed at Breakwater in August 2025 The hotel took £438 out of my credit card by accident and assured me it would be payed back. I tried to contact the hotel via email but they don’t reply. Virgin holidays contacted the hotel and I was advised the hotel would pay my money back. Still no money has been payed back. Do not stay at this hotel. Complete rip off

Lack of follow up from management. The carpet in front of bathroom was soaking wet . I reported to the front desk and they said they would send up maintenance. After, 5 reports of the water and telephone not working. I gave up. At checkout desk ,I again told her the issue had not been resolved. She said she would put it on a do not use. The water was a hazard. When stepping from the soaked carpet on to tile it was extremely slippery.

Great location- that’s all though Great location right on South Beach. Right in the centre of entertainment. However music was so loud nearby the room shook with the bass. Loud until 3am. WiFi not working and shower warm at best. If you are looking for a chilled out break then avoid. If you are partying til the early hours give it a go
