Clean, location, price Price was good and the room was clean! If you are looking for fancy this may not be for you but I loved the art deco bathroom. The staff was great and it's at a great location short walk to the beach. I would definitely go again. The only thing I can think of I wish they had was a pool but the ocean is just a short walk and you have a ton of restaurants to choose from.

Trash & Rats Do NOT stay here! There are rats. Unfortunate, too, because the front desk and cleaning staff are friendly, and the proximity of the place to the beach and other areas of interest is great. When I brought the trash/rats to the attention of the staff, nothing was done and the owner refused to reimburse us for any of our payment. The rooms are crappy too with loud alley neighbors if you’re in the back. (Not necessarily the fault of the hotel, but the windows are dirty and outdated & do not keep out any noise.)

Thankyou to Ricky who was exceptionally friendly and helpful _ The Island House, South Beach is in an ideal location for all of the main attractions, restaurants and within easy walking distance to the beach. The accommodation is basic but clean. A continental breakfast included. Exceptionally friendly staff with a huge shout out to Ricky. Ricky was very accomadting and helpful and assisted us when our bags needed looking after, due to our departure flight not being until late evening. Would recommend this accommodation if you are looking for something cheap and cheerful.

Book the damn room Pros: -location -24 hour Walgreens is a quick walk -friendly staff -LGBTQ friendly -room does have amenities like fridge and microwave and some toiletries Cons: -a little outdated More information -I see other reviews complain about the noise and homeless people. Well, of course it’s Miami and it’s south beach it is a party city. There are all kind of people out there but the police are always riding by and I still felt safe regardless. -this is not the Marriott or the Holiday Inn. It is a simple hotel to enjoy your stay. -I absolutely will be coming back to this hotel.

Very nice place The structure may not meet expectations as it is a bit old but when traveling these are elements not to be considered (at least for me) if you stay there for a few days. As I said, the structure is a bit dated like the rooms and the bathroom but my wife and I enjoyed it all the same, the beds were comfortable and the cleanliness was excellent. Breakfast is served at the reception with packaged products, coffee and hot water for tea and it was fine for us, if you expect to receive a 5-star hotel breakfast then book elsewhere. The location is fabulous, not even 300 meters away you are on the beach and on Ocean Drive and that is already a lot. I remind newcomers to holidays that if you are looking for grand hotel services for 2/3 days you don't have to book here and then leave meaningless negative comments, if instead you are looking for a comfortable place where you can move and above all you know how to adapt then this is the right place.
