Great hotel- great amenities- lots to do The hotel was amazing! The pool area is huge and spacious for families, and I'm obsessed with the rooms with 3 beds. Let's not forget the Dove hand soap in a pump- thank you for no bar soap! There's shopping within walking distance... can't go wrong with this hotel.

Just a hotel Had higher expectations for this hotel. We have stayed here many times. Seems to be not the same hotel. The pillows were not Holiday inn express pillows. Seems like they changed them. The shower is good quality. The room seemed a little outdated. It would be nice if it was updated with the new amenities and new decor. It would be nice to see more usb plugs and streaming device instead of cable tv. The bed was decent. The bathroom was nice and clean. Enjoyed the online check in and check out. Over all average stay.

A place to sleep We had a second floor room that looked at a cement wall, the room was right outside the lobby which has high ceilings and echoed right into our room.It was a place to sleep for us, but happy the bed was comfy, the tv worked, we had wifi and the pool was excellent! Loved the dove products that we could use for hand washing & showering.

Comfortable weekend stay We took a weekend trip to Midland and stayed at the Holiday Inn. The room was spacious, clean and had a super comfortable king sized bed. The hotel is located behind a mall and convenient to many stores and restaurants. Only a few miles from Dow Gardens and downtown Midland. There’s also a sports bar connected to the hotel. Great breakfast with a really nice staff.

Couldn't have been worse. Well.. Instead of service I received discrimination from the desk staff and then management threatened me the next day when calling about a refund. Now they have a lawyer involved when all I want is an apology. The situation: We checked in earlier in the night and came back around 1am after a great day in Midland. Our door had blood on it behind the door handle. I asked to have it cleaned by the staff, they offered me a bottle of hand sanitizer. Literally told me to do it myself with hand sanitizer. They then relented and gave up a Lysol wipe after claiming to not know what one was. I then cleaned the blood myself. Next? No soap in bathroom to wash my hands. Next? Tried the jacuzzi tub that we payed extra for - no water. Went to desk and was told "nothing I can do." This is where the discrimination comes in - I have Parkinson's disease, and stress makes me shake. As soon as I started shaking the employee said "You are just rude, and I don't have to deal with you," and then hid behind a wall in the office, like a child, while I calmly (while being rightfully pissed) explained that I was not rude at all, but disabled. She never came out to hear me, and I grew very frustrated and made this known. So, my wife and I packed then checked out. We stopped back at the desk to ask about a refund and the woman stood in the lobby and simply ignored me, refused to give any helpful inclination as to how to resolve this issue. Until! She finally opened her mouth and said these profound words; "Sir, there is nothing wrong with you and you need to leave MY hotel before I call the police." MIND BLOWN! I then gave her the largest piece of my mind anyone has ever received, then had my wife take over the drive home because there were no other rooms available in town, and I was too symptomatic to drive us home myself. My wife, who has high anxiety when driving at night, was forced to drive us home at 1am or let us sleep in the car. Next morning I called the manager and she wouldn't even let me speak, stating that the employee accused me of spitting on her and that she "trusts her" (so much so that she didn't even need to hear my side of things apparently). Then she said they may contact the police. I laughed at her and told her to watch the tapes. This absolutely never happened, I would never do this. I was a public servant, a 911 dispatcher, before my diagnosis. I help the community, I don't spit on people, nor discriminate and act like a child at work. They then seized contact with me and Mac their attorney has since emailed me and told me to stop attempting communication them. I asked for nothing more than an apology and assurance this wont happen again, and they turned me over to their non responsive attorney. Stay Tuned, I'm not letting this go. I wont let this happen to another member of the Parkinson's community, or any other. DO NOT STAY HERE! Expedia thankfully refunded the room for us.. go check them out. This Holiday-Inn looks nice, but they employ and protect, unmotivated, lying, uncaring, unempathetic, and discriminatory staff.
