Not bad… Well, not bad but could use some continued updating. Definitely starting to make improvements but it’s obvious where they cut corners. Room itself was decent for our family. We enjoyed the breakfast that had a good waffle maker, strange eggs circles and good sausage. Carpet in the halls are in desperate need of replacing and really the biggest issue. Better than I was expecting though based on reviews.

Employees are Thieves! We left our room to go out for dinner. When we got back, our room was completely empty! We spent the week here so we could Visit family. We left the room to go out for dinner. We come back to an empty room! My husband’s clothes, my clothes, my 5 children’s clothes, food and drinks, suitcases, my purse, makeup - all gone! The manager said it was thrown away, but our items were not in the property. We searched the trash and the dumpsters - nothing! The police said there was nothing they could do ???!!! Perhaps enforce the law? Unbelievable! Never ever ever stay at this hotel! P.S. wrote corporate and haven’t heard a word. They don’t care!

Only stop if your exhausted We were traveling to NY from Illinois and began to get tired and pulled off at Lamar. The place smelled and run down. We paid $139, it wasn’t worth $39. It was filthy. If it was not after midnight and foggy we would have left. We high tailed it out of there at the crack of dawn, reluctantly grabbed a cup of free coffee which was watery and undrinkable. See pics. Hampton Inn next door was fully booked, now we know why. Grab a Red Bull and keep going.

This place is old, dirty, and overpriced. We stayed at this hotel twice since June 2022. Was driving to Ohio and this was the halfway stop. In June of this year We were in a dingy room, very hard bed, and the air conditioner stopped running at 8 PM. It just stopped functioning. We decided to tough it out and get out very early the next day. I called early August spoke to the front desk person, about possibly staying one night, August 21, 2022. I conveyed the past experience to her, she apologized and i asked if she could get us a room that had a working cold air conditioner, and a room that was clean. She said "ofcourse" and said she would put us in a clean room and one that had a new air conditioner, in fact she gave me her " word". I trusted the "Hospitality" business would want to provide good services for paying customers. It was room 339, it ought to be a museum, it is frozen in time and the air conditioner on the wall had lived a long time. It was a "carrier" model, it had buttons you pushed down and dust assaulted my face as I was leaning over, pressing the button that said "low". It did next to nothing to cool off a room that was clearly closed for several weeks. I waited but it never cooled down to a comfortable room temperature. I also want to point out that the lady at the front desk read my request for a working AC, since her co worker gave me her word she would put in the notes for the reservation. But this is what we were "assigned" . We barely slept and again left very early, I had Lysol wipes with me, I cleaned the rooms table, the AC unit had rust around it and copious amounts of dust. I said nothing as I was given my receipt in the morning. People were eating breakfast and I did not want to make a fuss. What I paid for the room was the going rate, with an AARP discount. This is what I think about this type of service and treatment of paying customers, I have a good hunch that since we are "seniors" it is not important to The Quality Inn at Mill Lane , Lamar PA to treat mature adults well, or to keep their word and honor what a person has requested. So, I will not ever go there again, i travel that route often, I know they will not care, and I would warn "seniors" to be aware of this practice at this Quality Inn. If you do not believe this review and find yourself in that place, ask for room 339. The management knows that these rooms are not fully functional, and will respond with the cursory response, that they apologize on behalf of all the team. Not buying it.

Basic. To say the least. You get what you pay for. You can't use a Roku or Firestick because the TV'S are locked. And the cable isn't even that great, poor quality. Not all the outside doors work. It's your basic cheap hotel. Not much quality. Won't be back, should have slept in my truck
