Cross county trip Very nice hotel with a good front desk staff. We stayed in a 2nd floor room that was very modern and nice. This was a very nice room/hotel for a budget brand hotel. One of the very BEST Rodeway hotels we have every stayed at. I would recommend this hotel.

Good price, average motel Decent economy room on Munras Ave. No breakfast. Good size room with work desk. Everything worked well. Staff not exactly charming. Across the street from Del Monte shopping center where their are several eating choices. Over the years I've stayed in most of the motels along this road and this one is no better or worse than the others.

Great value. Nice rooms Near restaurants and very clean rooms. Kind of a mom and pop management, they were very nice. If coming from HWY , take a u turn at the entrance to the Mall. Legal! No refrigerator or microwave is only drawback.

BED BUGS! Refund denied. (Photos) My wife and I ended up here after our confirmation at an overbooked hotel nearby was mishandled. We ended up with the very last room at check-in, room 219, which later turned out to have bedbugs. We now suspect that this is why the room was the last one given to guests. The façade of this place is as well-kept as possible, with a fresh coat of paint and flowers in full bloom. Room was tidy but foul-smelling. Runs for under $70 on a normal weekend but we paid nearly $400 out of desperation of having nowhere else to stay. My wife, who is visibly pregnant with twins, was awoken at 1:30 AM with an itching sensation on her wrist. I quickly found a bed bug skittering away after flicking on the lights and pulling the sheets back. We immediately decided to report the issue to the manager, request a refund, fuel up on coffee, hit the road and abort our weekend trip. The manager refused to refund us for the price of the room, even when shown the video evidence and the bloody bed bug carcass. He accused us of not trying hard enough to look for more bugs and eliminate them. He patronized my wife, who is allergic to insect bites and whose arm was beginning to swell, by asking her why she had not attempted to call a doctor. He insisted that a refund was not necessary because a maid had already ‘cleaned the room’ the day before as a matter of routine. After we continued to insist that we receive a refund so that we could leave and be on our way, he informed us that the matter could not be resolved until the police arrived, whom he had claimed to call, and until he was able to reach the health department, whom he also claimed to call (at 2 AM on a Sunday morning!) As expected, no police arrived after an hour of arguing, and the manager just stood there smugly recording us on his phone while we contacted our bank to initiate a charge dispute.

Yikes - worst of the 6 hotels we stayed in on our trip down the Cali coast Stayed here the night after attending the U.S. Open Friday session. Because of the Open, the price was absurdly high, but we wanted to stay in or near Monterey so we could continue our trip down the coast during daylight the next day, and this was one of the less-ridiculously-priced places still available when we started looking (if you consider $500 for a $50 hotel less ridiculous). Passed a lot of hotels on the way to this one that looked a little nicer, but they must not have had availability when I was looking, or were even higher priced. Anyway, this is a Motel with a capital 'M.' Floors were tile, so the room didn't feel cozy at all, and the huge king-sized mattress actually had springs sticking up on one side. Fortunately, the mattress was big enough to avoid having to sleep on them. They served some sort of breakfast in a tiny room by the check-in desk, but I looked in in the morning, and didn't see anything to eat, so we dined elsewhere. Overall, this just felt like a 'dive' motel, and I think there are much better choices in the area. On the plus side, we did find a nice place to dine for dinner at the mall across the street. Can't recall the name of the place, but it was at the far end of the outdoor mall, and is not a chain, as far as we know.
