Decent place to stay, but... We cruised into Morehead around 8:30 pm and were lucky to find a room anywhere in town. Super 8 had two non-smoking rooms and I eagerly put my money down for one of them (we are both non-smokers and hate the smell). The door to our room was plainly marked "Non-Smoking". When we opened the door the smell of smoke was overpowering - obviously the room is not a "non-smoking" room. I opened the window and turned the AC unit to "high", then went the desk and asked for some air freshener. That helped a bit, but not much. The room was large and clean but the smell was hard to take. I doubt that we would stay there again. The staff was very helpful and friendly and we had no issues with them.

Super 8 Morehead KY I am dissatisfied about the stay from booking to leaving. I called in reservation for 2 nights. Got there to 1 night. They find a room for us The first only 1 door key issued only worked once and had to get new ones that only worked once! The room was dirty to include unswept carpet. Only one wash rag for 4 people Then during the day Sat while we were out. New towels were brought in AND the window with no screen was unlocked wide open and curtains open. Came back to a room full of mosquitos and flying bugs every where. The AC Unit was filthy, we turned it on and it blew out dust and garbage. So we shut it off. Without some sort of credit or something we will not be back and neither will 3 other rooms that was there at the same time for same functions as us. We will not reccomned this motel either unless something is made right. Thank you Have a blessed day. My phone number 5673956934 for contact or email leonakwallace@gmail.com

Ok but needs updated Was ok but the room needed updated and bedding. No pool or workout room but was ok for a cheap place to just crash for the night. A flat screen tv would have been nice but the wifi did work good and the ac was cold

Quite the dump I should have opted for the other hotel nearby, but after just being told our van needed $$$$ of work, I wanted someplace cheap. I've stayed at other Super 8's and they've been nice places - not high-end, but clean and comfortable. I was traveling alone and asked for a single bed room. The clerk ended up giving me the handicap accessible room on the first floor. I thought that was a little odd. The room was large but everything was very dated. The walls were dirty everything about the room just had the feeling of yuck. The entire coffee table top was warped and cracked from water damage. The bathroom walls looked mildewy and I spread a path of towels on the bathroom floor because I didn't know what those spots on the floor were. The TV was an old non-HD variety so all the shows were grainy and most were misproportioned. I expect disposable drinking cups in a hotel room but my room had none. The clerk made a point of telling me where the ice machine was and there was a tray with a bag lined ice bucket in the room, but not cups. Kinda pointless. I'm not a coffee drinker but I noticed there was a coffee maker in the room with coffee packets - but alas, no coffee cups so I still had no cups for water. The hvac blower was noisy and blew right up the curtain instead of into the room. That meant that the room wasn't getting warm, just the inside of the curtains. So I looked around for something I could rig up to keep the curtains from blowing up and saw the coat hangers. I inserted a few into a joint in the hvac casing and they worked like a charm holding the curtains down so the air could actually blow into the room. I pulled back the sheets to check for bedbugs ( I always do this in a hotel). I didn't spot any bugs but I saw a couple of strands of hair. I'll give them the benefit of a doubt and assume they came from housekeeping when they were changing the sheets. Overall the bed and pillows were comfortable and I got a good night's sleep. Breakfast was simple - yogurt, prepackaged cinnamon rolls, toast, juice, coffee, and instant oatmeal. I saw a waffle machine but didn't use it. Despite getting a good night's sleep, I would not stay at this hotel again because of the overall feeling of filth everywhere I looked.

Good choice in eastern KY Bed was comfortable, room was clean. I was surprised that some rooms in the hotel were still smoking rooms. We were happy to get a non-smoking room and that we couldn't smell any smoke via vents, etc. The only problem we had was trying to avoid the major potholes and erosion at the entrance/exit driveway; this needs to be repaired.
