Typical Hotel - Quirky Pool! It was great for what we needed - a place to sleep after a family event in the area. Our room was very spacious and clean. (the pillows were too soft for me though) The one window overlooked the lobby/pool....quirky! Just about everything is closed in the area on Sunday, but we found a Starbucks just 5 minutes away. The Casino across the street was an added little surprise! We'd stay here again, for the same reason.

Inexperienced staff made me wait an hour to get a room with a key that worked. I stopped at Holiday Inn Morgantown while traveling solo. I stopped late at night to get some sleep, as I was driving alone. There was only one person, William, working that night. He told me it was his first night, and the individual scheduled to work with him and train in called off for the night. William could not figure out the computer system. He couldn't do a walk in. He finally did that and RAN MY CARD, and then couldn't figure out how to make a key for the room I bought. I only had a few hours to sleep and I was exhausted. William called all sorts of people to assist, but no one answered their phones. He gave me a key for the room FINALLY, but when I went to the room the key didn't work. I waited for over an HOUR of precious sleeping time for him to get a key, or give me a refund, but he couldn't do either. I started crying, NGL. He FINALLY got the GM to answer her phone and he finally figured out how to make my key. He told me he comped my room for the hassle. That was on March 25, 2024. I checked my credit card statement today and guess what? They charged me. No refund. Just awful.

Weird hotel This hotel is… strange. Firstly it’s backed right up onto a kind of car dealership for classic cars, so I guess that this is the main trade. The rooms are inside-facing, over the lobby. The swimming pool is directly in the lobby. We had made a reservation for 2 adults and 2 kids but, as usual, nothing was prepared and someone had to be called in from outside to find the additional pillows and bed linen that we needed. The website indicates that the restaurant and bar are open every day - that’s not true. The Sunday evening we were there it was all closed up. The bedroom was clean enough, the staff polite enough but I was a bit suspicious of the dark staining in the bottom of the bathtub. Breakfast was good with freshly prepared eggs. I got the impression there were maybe half a dozen room occupied at the very most - very quiet and a bit eerie.

Typical Holiday Inn I was here for a convention. This is an older hotel, right off the interstate with restaurants and entertainment nearby. The pool is right across from the front desk. Their restaurant is closed n Sunday night. The staff here is great - very helpful at every turn - Ashley and Kimberly step to the front of the line. They have local menus available at the desk for the guest. My room was on the 2nd floor - the rooms offer no laundry bag, large rooms, they have a microwave and a small fridge. The bathroom counters are nice - liked the lighted mirror. The rooms need more hangers, the pillowcases do not fit the pillows. There were some cleanliness issues in the bathroom - dirty shower curtain and hair on the ceiling. The rooms offer no bars of soap. The restaurant here is good - great staff at breakfast and at the bar at night. It has a conference center attached to it. The heater was very loud. The shower head was about to fall off. Also the room had a bad odor. They offer large trash cans in the hall for your trash - as they offer limited housekeeping services. All in all a good stay. This is a typical Holiday Inn (IHG) nothing that stands out from the crowd. Continued Success moving forward.

It was not even Luke warm it was ice cold and from my understanding everyone had the same.issue. better off finding another hotel. Weird that the pool was in the lobby but I was not swimming.
