Morro Bay Beach Inn

Liars As promised in an email which we showed as proof to the clerk of an early check in of noon ok’d by the Inn we arrived and were told we couldn’t check in until2. The clerk didn’t care about the email confirming that fact and told us to email the manager. He didn’t acknowledge that they were at fault even though there was proof. We left without staying even though we were already charged.

Terrible Owners and Service - Do not book Made the reservation in error. Manager was never availably, terrible front desk service and was unwilling to cancel our reservations minutes after booking. Gave me the run around, never responded to my emails or phone calls.

Meh at best. Adequate but no more. Bed was comfy with soft sheets but decor was essentially non-existent and charm = zero. I did sleep ok, so I guess the minimum standard for a motel was met. However, the appearance of the room was dismal; it was clean but looked dirty due to shoddy repairs work, kind of gross paint job (yellow must’ve been on sale) which didn’t match room carpet or bed spread or other wall color. Missing grout on bathroom floor, liquid “soap” seemed to be three different types/colors in cheap dispenser. Bathroom towels clean but thin and seemed cheap. It is close to the beach and “downtown” so easy to get places. Do not recommend except in a real pinch.

So glad we found the little hotel. As my husband and I were traveling through we found the gem of a place. The staff was so kind and helpful. It was quiet, peaceful, clean, and very well-kept. I liked that they had the soap/shampoo in liquid form and in dispensers. it made it easy and never a need to ask for more. I definitely plan on staying here again. I recommend this place for a great stay. It is close to the beach but yet away from traffic. Thank you for a great stay at your cute hotel.

Decent room, with a decent view. We stayed here for a few days. Room was bit less than what we expected, but seemed to be somewhat current. No breakfast offered. It was pretty no frills in terms of service, but we didn't really inquire about too much. Lobby looked pretty good. No AC, but the weather there is not especially hot. View of the Bay was pretty good (which is why we chose this place initially). Its on the water so there are a lot of birds. Food offerings in the surrounding area were pretty decent. Probably would look for another place to stay when we return to the area.
