Location, Location, and price Location is key! This hotel is conveniently located near Times Square. We visit NYC once a year to see shows, and the price makes it worthwhile. While it's not a luxury hotel, it's a comfortable place to rest after a long day in the city. We would definitely stay here again.

complaint I had great "pleasure" to stay at The Manhattan at Times Square for 2 nights on 29-31 July. The experience is as follows: - we arrived around 9pm and spent over 40 minutes in line at the check in. Beside there were several counters, only one person worked. - at 1.30am three men rivaled into my door. Despite DoNotDisturb sign on door handle, there was so hard knocking as if they did it with legs. My wife and 2 children woke up much much frightened. When are you checking out? - one angrily shouted at me - i said why should i leave as i have paid for 2 nights? You have to leave now - he shouted again - i said i will not leave, as my family need to rest after 14 hours flight. What is you surname? - he shouted again - i said it to him, he wrote it by pen on his palm, and all three left. - on the 2nd night i receive sms from my bank that $128 is deducted from my credit card by the hotel. I come to reception and they say - no worries, we are just checking out your credit card and will return this amount upon check out. I have stayed in thousands of hotels in 120+ countries and have never ever had such experience! Here I did not sleep for 2 nights and strongly do not recommend this hotel! Simon

Great location if you don't mind dingy room Move if you can, we've just checked out today. Hotel is under renovation is all they say at reception. While Reception staff are friendly initially after we checked out and went out for a few hours, when we came back to collect bags and asked to use the bathroom they sent us to the Sheraton hotel across the road. Beds and bathroom were clean but room smelled musty, wall paper was peeling, water damage all over bathroom and sockets seemed very unsafe and didn't all work. The location is fantastic which I'm guessing is the only reason people stay there!
