Best stay in Newport News Amy at the front desk! She is a ray of sunshine in a dark world. Amy made us feel right at home. Very friendly and helpful. The rooms were comfortable and clean. Room service kept us supplied with our basic needs and the free breakfast was enjoyable. Thank you Amy!!Room 127.

It's Like Staying With Family.... We accidently chose this hotel on a dreary night when our family was highly irritable during our travels. Could we make it back to Alexandria, Virginia from the Buckroe Beach/Virginia Beach visit nonstop? The family debate was a resounding NO! Pull over! Pull over! This was the vote! Yet, I longed for the comforts of home. I wanted to get home so I could rest, have breakfast in the morning and enjoy a hot cup of coffee while I worked on my laptop for an hour answering emails. Being out voted, we pulled into the Comfort Suites at Newport News Airport. I've stayed at Choice Hotels - Comfort Suites before. And TripAdvisor has always been a great resource to help us find the best places to stay, and the best deals hands down. But this wasn't just any Comfort Suites Hotel. From the moment we were directed there from TripAdvisor and checked in, we noticed the friendliest atmosphere, the warmth, and professionalism from the staff. Mrs Amy, the front desk person made us feel like we were staying with a family member, and not actually at a hotel. It was a very pleasant overnight stay, with us booking two rooms that night. The story doesn't end there. Because we felt so much sincerity about us genuinely enjoying our stay, when the time came for us to return to the area, we AGAIN chose this same Comfort Suites Newport News Airport hotel. Every staff member, from our first and continuing contact with Mrs. Amy (we learned later was a Manager), to Jay, Johnny and all the other staff has made us feel welcomed. You might think it unusual for someone to write a review recommending your family to try out a hotel. If do, then PAUSE, and ask yourself this. When was the last time you felt appreciated, or someone was happy to see you? When was the last time someone provided you service with a genuine smile? If you can appreciate these things, then you will understand why we return to this hotel when visiting the area. The answer is simple. Were not staying at a hotel. It's feels like we're staying with family.

Exceptional Customer Service The hotel manager is exceptional and the hotel is wonderful. Well-located, and not just for staying near the airport. It’s near shopping and restaurants, and an easy drive to local attractions such as Busch Gardens, Williamsburg, Jamestown and Yorktown. The room was clean and large enough for three adults. Breakfast was convenient and the snack shop well stocked. We were warmly greeted each time we returned from sight seeing. This is the second time staying here to visit family and it won’t be our last.

Everything we needed for a two night stay This is a simply but very satisfying hotel. It’s clean, the rooms are very large, the beds are comfortable, and the hot and cold water worked as they should. Breakfast is available and is nicely supplied with a variety of morning favorites. Available are premade eggs/omelets, a meat, cereals, pastries, waffles, oatmeal, select fruit and juice / coffee. There are plenty of things to do that are close but you’ll need a car.

Best hotel ever This is by far the best hotel I have ever stayed at! The customer service is amazing! Ms Amy at the front desk is the most delightful hotel employee I have ever had the pleasure of dealing with. The rooms are always spotless with top notch housekeeping. I would recommend this hotel for anyone to stay in if in the Newport News Williamsburg airport area! Overall I give this place a 12 out of 10 _
