Convenient, clean, accommodating place to stay! The hotel was convenient to a lot of areas we were interested in visiting. It’s nestled down low between two highways. Parking was easy. We stayed four nights on the backside in the trees and it was quiet. Our room was clean very clean as well as the bathroom. The breakfast area had a lot of choices and was also kept clean. The staff was very friendly, quick to respond and accommodating as well. Would stay here again if we come to this area! Downside was the hallway smelled like smoke even though it was a non smoking hotel. Our room however, was fine.

Just O.K. Breakfast was disappointing! We always try to stay at Holiday Inn Express because of the usually delicious breakfast. This breakfast was disappointing. None of the signature cinnamon rolls. No biscuits and gravy. No bacon. Very small breakfast dining area. Room was adequate, but shower curtain smelled very sour. Wouldn't stay here again because of the limited breakfast.

You Lose One Bubble for not Cleaning Rooms Daily This place should receive four stars (bubbles), but I have decided the time is long overdue to return to daily cleaning of rooms. After all, the prices have only gone up, not down. Lack of staff is no excuse. In addition, I had reserved three rooms, one for my single daughter, one for my second daughter and her husband and one for my wife and myself. (I still don't know if I received IHG points for three rooms). In total, I had reserved rooms for 8 nights. This review covers only our room, 203. We were there 3 nights. So, with that said: This place is located on a wide spot of land between the east bound and west bound lanes of the Ohio turnpike. To say it is noisy 24/7 is an understatement. Who puts a hotel in the "middle" of a highway? The staff was friendly enough, but they failed to have an extra blanket in our room as requested in the reservation. We had to ask for it. In the room itself, the Internet speed, when measured with speedtest dot net was 20 Mbps down (pretty good) and 9 up (better than mine at home). Lights were everywhere, including beneath the head of the bed (WHY??!!) We could hear the people in the room above us walking and talking. Kids in the room next to ours decided to "roller skate" (I assume) with the suitcases. They were making a great deal of noise until I beat on the thin wall. They did it again the next night, but stopped before I beat on the wall again. Parents should learn to control their children. The bathroom had good lighting, but there was the usual almost-on-the-floor toilet found in most hotels and it was difficult to flush. With no exhaust fan, the bathroom smelled musty. Sink water pressure was very low. The shower, on the other hand, was okay though the shower head looked disgusting. There were no real towel bars or hooks, only a very short bar beneath the sink. Paint was peeling significantly from the bathroom ceiling. Saturday breakfast was cheese omelets, scrambled by Monday. There was only Greek yogurt. Sausage paddies were tasty. Coffee actually wasn't too bad.

Pass on by find another Hotel! Don't stay at this Dive! The very worst stay I've ever had at a Holiday Inn Express! The employees were congregated at the main front door smoking so the smell and stench of cigarette smoke was throughout the lobby area. Doors and walls are paper thin and any noises in hallway sound as if your door is wide open. Kids running and yelling in hallway at 10pm, baby in next room constantly crying. Toilet wouldn't stop running. A $25 hold was placed on my credit card for incidentals, that alone should have been a red flag since the other very nice Holiday Inn Express a few miles up the road doesn't do that. (They were fully booked thus stayed here this trip) Nothing is free here, the other Holiday Inn Express up the road in Niles offers FREE bottled water, snacks, ice cream, fruits. This place is the worst in the area! The $183 night stay was a total waste of money, very little sleep was had and the name Holiday Inn should be stripped from it's signage. I'm surprised they don't rent the rooms by the hour. Oh yeah the TV remote was broke so the TV didn't work either.

Good stop for the night! Easy access off of Ohio turnpike. Room was updated, clean and comfortable. Our room faced the road and road noise was definitely present, but we like white noise when we sleep so was not an issue for us. Breakfast was fine, usual fare and appreciated the pancake maker and the choices of yogurt and strong coffee. We are picky about coffee and theirs did not disappoint. Took a quick drive into town for dinner at the local Covered Bridge Inn. Highly recommend!
