Business Trip to North Brunswick with improvment suggestions. It's been awhile since I used a Staybridge. Traveling on business in North Brunswick, this hotel was the closest "good" hotel near the business location and my stay was fairly good. The breakfast area was great, well stocked and well managed by Maria. The hotel and surrounding areas were clean and maintained. There is a Monday through Wednesday "Social" in the common area with light snacks and refreshments. There are refreshments (coffee and sodas) available 24/7 in the common area. However, unlike other Staybridges I've stayed at, there was no beer or wine for the "Social". When I inquired why this oversight, it was explained that New Jersey's restrictive Alcohol laws do not permit them to serve alcohol (even if it's free). This is also the same in New Jersey's Supermarkets and convenience stores. They told me they are remodeling and working on a solution (maybe adding a bar). I have several areas where I feel that improvements could be made. 1. I booked the room looking at the title of the room on the IHG website. I assumed the room was a King bed, but sadly, it was a queen. When I dug further into the details of the room it stated Queen in the fine print, so I was stuck. Maybe put the word Queen in the title like your other room listings. 2. I'm sure this is for security, but the front door is locked during the day and requires key access to enter. Very inconvenient to put down what your carrying, dig out your key an open the door. Occasionally when someone is at the front desk they will buzz you in. Maybe leave the door unlocked during the day when someone is manning the front desk. 3. There are no complementary toiletries available at the front desk (tooth paste, deodorant...). 4. There are no ice machines in the hotel. The first night I asked for ice and was told to turn on the ice maker in the refrigerator. Maybe have ice available when a guest checks in, until their ice maker starts producing ice. 5. Housekeeping is every other day, which is not a problem if I was informed. Since Covid housekeeping depends on the hotel, so please set my expectations at check in. 6. I earned my elite status, please acknowledge me. 7. Parking is weird. There is a lot at the back of the building, but several trucks hauling trailers took up several spots parking sideways. There is a shopping center parking lot with access, but I was unsure if I should park there (having been towed once in my life was traumatic enough). I asked the front desk and the manager asked if I was a guest (after I just used my key to gain entry - see #2). I answered "Yes I am, can I park there?" I never got a clear answer, but overnight parking in that lot was mentioned so I elected not to park there. State the parking policy and areas available. 8. The most concerning to me is the "Spy Cameras" in the room (see attached pictures). They are mounted on the wall near the ceiling with a view of the living room and in the bedroom directly across from the bed. Not sure if it's legal to put these cameras in a hotel room. I almost moved to a different hotel. Please change or label what this is.

Overall good, housekeeping lacking I find my room was quiet exactly as I requested. location is very convenient if you work in that area. The only negative point I would is the housekeeping. At check in I was told me that it was done only after eight days which is extremely long ! I asked for housekeeping every other day but it didn’t happen. You have to carry your garbage and your dirty towels at the end of the corridor. Not ideal

Yuck... I've stayed here once before, and didn't have a bad experience. This has been different. First, the side doors are propped open, which is always a hint that something below board is up. My suspicions were confirmed when I watched with my own two eyes what was very clearly a drug transaction. The room smells of who knows what...a faint odor of marijuana, mildew, and something else. The hallways are in serious need of work - duct tape has been used to repair the first floor carpet, for example. The parking lot is littered with trash, which is a nice touch.

Decent On the road with two dogs and a roof-rack load. The dogs were welcomed (we paid for them; not cheap), but I worried about leaving the roof-rack pack overnight: The neighborhood looked a bit sketchy. But not to worry: Everything was there in the morning. Our room was clean, if a bit tired, and the mattress worked.
