Decent hotel we stayed here on a Saturday night for a family gathering. in total we had 4 or 5 rooms and 11 people. our rooms were not next to each other. no problem until we were getting in a rowdy card game after 10pm. so we checked with the front desk to see if others were in adjoining rooms. they were all booked rooms, but they offered us to use the breakfast area. it was perfect for a toddler to run crazy and free. we had an enjoyable experience. the only complaint was the super thin bath towels. you really need several to get yourself dried off. Breakfast was your usual breakfast fare. biscuits were super dry and kinda like bricks.

Solid Mid-Range Hotel A very solid hotel. Fairly new with a decent breakfast offering. The staff was very attentive and pleasant. The room was comfortable. The only complaint is that my room faced the parking lot that had a light shining directly into the windows. Overall, it was a clean, quiet, and relaxing place to staff overnight while traveling through Iowa.

Hot tub permamently closed For $60/night I thought I got a great deal, especially for a "suite". Essentially just a king bed and a sofa w/ small coffee table. Pleasantly surprised how nice everything was for that price. Others have complained about the refrigerator. My refrigerator was warm when I checked in. Took until late night until it was cold at all. Apparently they UNPLUG the darn refrigerators until right before someone checks into that room. This is NOT acceptable, just to save a few cents on the light bill. Adjustment knob is on the back, pull yours out and check the setting so you're not waiting around for nothing. No freezer compartment. Plenty of ice in the machines though. I was very bummed that the hot tub is basically permanently closed, because that's the whole reason I wanted a hotel with pool. They built a little deck platform over the top of it and put a table and chairs on it. The pool water was rather warm contrary to other reviews. It's very small and only 3.0-3.5feet deep though. Pool closes 9:30pm. They should really fix that hot tub no matter what it costs. They way it is now is absolutely silly. This hotel is right by I-380 so plenty of highway noise. I didn't notice it much inside since my room was farther away. Nobody was being loud on a Sunday night. Fortunately no children around to make noise. Bring your own soap. They have this sandalwood crap that leaves your hands feeling slimy and you can't wash it off. Don't even think of using that soap in the shower; that would be yucky. I just had a regular shower, not a walk-in that somebody else mentioned. Food choices within a quick walk: Arby's, Casey's pizza/sandwiches, and whatever Kum&Go happens to sell for carryout. Plenty of real restaurants and pubs a short drive away or maybe a 20-30 minute walk. Workout room is small but fine for this type of hotel. They have a treadmill, a recumbant bike or cross trailer (don't recall), and a very nice weight machine. Coin op laundry just has 1 washer and 1 dryer. The breakfast room is huge and I hear the selection if very nice (with hot selections too), but I slept in and didn't get a chance to grab breakfast. I personally won't be staying here again until they fix the hot tub. But if you don't care about such things it's an awesome deal if you just need a comfortable quiet place to sleep.

Nice stay, good hotel Clean parking lot, the building looks very nice, but on closer inspection, the landscaping was full of weeds and dead trees. Front desk was quick and attentive. Room 301 was large and cold with the AC already running, just the way I like it in summer! But the refrigerator didn’t seem to be working and I had food. Front desk said it was slow to start cooling, but after 4 days it still didn’t work. So I went looking for ice, and all the ice machines were broken except the first floor. The TV was OK, the remote didn’t really work well. Very large room with large bathroom and a real closet. You could hear highway noise through the window, but the A/C masked most of it. Elevator was slow but worked great. Indoor pool which was clear, the hot tub was covered with a deck, I assume it is broken. Breakfast area was HUGE with lots of food and choices. Arby’s nearby. For $69 a night, it was a great bargain. Especially when all the hotels along I-80 were overpriced and in that area it was VERY congested with endless construction. This Sleep Inn is a few miles away, but much easier to access and no construction. Except for the broken refrigerator, my stay was fine and I would stay here again.

What happened to this place? We have needed to stay here for over 8 years to be with family in North Liberty, Iowa. We have observed a decrease in cleanliness and service. See pictures. 1) Room for 4 had 3 bath towels. 2) Areas of room and bath were dirty. Despite it being December, the weather was abnormally warm and we needed to open some windows. The window sills were filthy. 3) Floor around the toilet was dirty. 4) Room phone had no dial tone. 5) Breakfast used to have a nice selection including bacon and sausage. Now hard bagels, disks of "scrambled" eggs, and biscuits and gravy - but the bottom of the biscuits were so hard we broke plastic forks trying to cut them.
