Norwich Must Stay Lindsay is a superstar and went out of her way to ensure every guest had a positive experience. She was especially helpful with the Wi-Fi set-up. The room was spacious, and the beds were, oh so comfortable with plenty of fluffy pillows. Staff throughout the facility were polite, knowledgeable and helpful. Highly recommend this as a must stay in Norwich, CT!

Absolutely not worth the savings for the cost of health and safety Hotel not as advertised. Hotel not up to Hilton or Hampton standards; I guess Holiday Inn has much lower standards. Mold, damp, cigarette smell, musky, humidifiers running in room, unsafe electrical set and cable management in room, broken items in room, old artifacts (ie wall thermostats that looked like they had burned up) still in room, tub water running and enamel worn off and shipped off, dark parking lot, bar music heard from 5th floor at 10:30 pm, rude staff, unclean bed sheets/bed spread, expired elevator certificates, the outside is completely off putting like a mental institute or old government office building, elevator light for floor indicator broken on both, completely outdated - no USB ports even, curtains that are brown and don’t close, and the absolute worse vibes of being unsafe ever - pretty sure there are cameras in the room, just not around for the safety of the guests. This was the worse hotel I’ve stayed in recent memory and that includes hotels in Baltimore, DC, NYC, and small no-name towns. The advertisement photos are misleading and I was not able to get my money back though we did not stay, I should have looked at other reviews and realized the documented struggle with same. The feeling of being watched was so strong that even after I swept the hotel room with my phone, I’m pretty sure there were cameras. Absolutely not. This hotel should probably be condemned or at least visited by the health department and the fired department for safety; the detector in the room looked outdated (over 10 years old) and the sprinkler looked to have been dislodged at some point. There was a single old outlet strip with a humidifier, microwave, coffee pot, and refrigerator plugged into it. There were cords strung across the floor. It was disturbing to see blatant violations that I would not expect a hotel brand to own alongside the general neglect and staff conduct/poor attitude, condescension and laughter when asked if there’s a non-expired certificate of safety for their janky elevator.

Nice convenient location We had a great stay at this hotel. We were there for a baseball tournament and the boys had a great time. We loved the sports bar and breakfast restaurant on site. Sharon is the best! The only downfall was that kids weren't allowed in the restaurant after 8:00.

Gross hotel. Super nice staff. Cheap owner. This is the type of hotel that is what a 3 / 5 star rating is designed for. It is clear that the owners of the property have not invested in the hotel for years. I stayed with the wife recently when we were headed to Mohegan Sun. Here is a breakdown for future visitors: Pros: + Extremely friendly staff. Everyone, from the front desk staff to the shuttle driver were all lovely people. + A constant shuttle offered to Mohegan Sun that ran as promised. Cons: - I felt the need to wear shoes in the room. Not because the cleaning staff didn't do their job, but because the hotel is so old that there is years and years of dirt built up. - The furniture was...grimy. You do not want to shine a black light on the chairs, for example. It felt uncomfortable to be sitting on things because of how gross it felt. - The balcony rooms looked like they had not been power washed in a year or more. There was crud everywhere. Hold the owner accountable for being cheap. Invest in the good people that keep your hotel running.

I would skip it. We stayed here for a weekend getaway and managed to have a good time. Our stay was accommodating for what we needed, which was a place to lay our heads at night. The hotel in pictures is definitely misleading though. Instead the hotel itself feels run down and dated. The room we stayed in seemed decent but I booked the balcony for extra money and the balcony was gross. I was expecting like chairs and a place to hang out but it was just nasty and we didn’t bother so that was a waste of money. Also they don’t offer complimentary breakfast like other hotels in the area do. I don’t recommend staying here when hotels in similar price ranges offer more value.
