Comfort Inn New River

Closest to the New River Gorge NP! My daughter and I stayed one night prior to visiting the New River Gorge NP. We found the beds comfortable, fluffy towels, had a quiet night’s sleep along with a decent breakfast. This hotel is close to the New River Gorge NP and the bridge.it’s about eight minutes away.

Will not stay here again. Room was filthy. The parking is a little challenging because the lines on the pavement are no longer visible, so people take up more than their spot. The desk and lounge areas are nice enough, but our room was in desperate need of repair and cleaning. The globe on the entry light was broken and plaster was chipped off near the closet. The shower had no water pressure and the showerhead was covered in mold. The one bed had a very visible dirt streak across the turned down part of the sheet, so we used the other bed.... only to discover chunks of FOOD still on the comforter (we didn't even have any food in the room, so it was clearly from the previous occupants. The room had also not been vaccuumed as there was a coffee stirrer on the floor when we entered the room. The breakfast was your average breakfast, but they kept running out of things as the desk clerk was also having to run the breakfast area. Clearly they need to hire some more people and make sure that rooms have actually been cleaned. The bed was remade, but that seemed to be about it, because they clearly hadn't cleaned the linen. Will NOT stay here again.

A nice surprise along the road I was impressed. For a decent price, this hotel was very comfortable, impeccably clean. Service at front desk was friendly and efficient, parking was large and easy to navigate even with our trailer. Nearby restaurant (Del Rio) was a bonus.

Coming and Going Oak Hill aka Mount Airy is about midway for our trip from Niagara Falls, ON to Myrtle Beach, SC. So I book our down and back stay at the same time. Since we're Choice Privilege members we received a complimentary gift upon check-in--soft home-made cookies. The rooms have been updated; nicely appointed. Friendly staff. Walmart within walking distance.

Super Friendly Staff Every staff member we interacted with was super helpful and friendly. Room was clean and comfortable. Structure is dated, but well maintained. Breakfast was tasty and good free breakfast variety. Super easy drive to national park activities.
