A perfect overnight visit We stayed at Nunsmere Hall for one night DBB. The hotel a really nice building to visit in a great location. All the team we meet were very friendly and helpful and our waiter at dinner must have overheard my wife wishing me a happy birthday because a small birthday cake appeared at the end of our meal. The dinner we had was delicious and our breakfast was cooked to order and was perfect. A delightful stay and we look forward to returning soon.

Amazing stay I’ve just returned from a night away with my partner at Nunsmere and we already cannot wait to return. We did a dinner, bed and breakfast deal and weren’t disappointed! We arrived and were greeted by Millie who was lovely and directed us to our room. The room was incredible, huge and spotlessly clean. We had a drink in the captains bar which was so comfy and beautifully designed. I think (Tom) served us who was really lovely to chat to and served us quickly each time. We had dinner in the restaurant. Steak; which was cooked perfectly and the pasta dish which was full of flavour. The puddings were really fantastic. Crème brûlée in particular. We had an excellent sleep, the bed was very comfortable and the room was lovely and warm. We heard hardly any noise during the night and the curtains meant the room was dark! The next morning we went down for breakfast (served by Charlotte) who was so cheerful and really attentive (and also was the night before ) breakfast had loads of choice and again really tasty. Everyone who helped us during our stay were so friendly and welcoming. Thanks so much to the team at Nunsmere we really can’t wait to be back!

Afternoon tea We enjoyed a superb afternoon tea here. There was a wedding taking place on the day we visited, in fact the hotel did ask us to change our booking because of this, but as we were unable to they assured us we would still be warmly welcomed, which we were. The hotel was indeed busy with the wedding party but our enjoyment was not compromised. The afternoon tea itself was delicious, good choice of sandwiches, warm scones and excellent selection of cakes. And we were treated so kindly by all of the staff but particular mention must go to Steve who looked after us so well. A fabulous treat!

Shocking customer service - no commitment to your booking Having had Nunsmere Hall booked since early September for a special occasion, I’ve been notified, with less than 3 weeks to go they have committed to a larger Christmas party instead. So anyone who had privately booked, paid and received a previous phone call with confirmation about dinner reservations and breakfast, has now been thrown. Not offer to support with finding an alternative until I suggested it, and then they had nothing to offer. So that’s it, they carry on with their day whilst I now can’t find a suitable hotel in the area for a Friday night in December! Not the first time with this hotel! Gave them the benefit of the doubt but absolutely would not recommend. You do the right thing by booking early but it means nothing to them. Terrible isn't low enough!!

Amazing.... This was our 4th visit to Nunsmere, As usual met all expectations. A beautiful building which very well maintained with lots of original fittings. Not sure whether it is a 'listed' building but it deserves to be. Impressive entrance/reception and absolutely fantastic plaster work on the ceilings. Well decorated. Every room we have stayed in has thoughtfully been decorated & quite spacious. It would be difficult to chose one over the other, each had a separate seating area with small table & 2 chairs. You get so used to seeing 1 chair in a room with someone having to perch on the bed... so to be able to sit down together at a table having a drink is really nice. The rooms are immaculately cleaned as are the communal areas. Everywhere s beautifully decorated, the bar is is quite 'moody' very comfy and great selection of drinks on offer. You are able to eat in the bar area or the dining room - this room needs a special 'shout out' it's splendid. Very calming, nicely laid out and .. sorry to say this again beautifully decorated with the most exquisite plasterwork ceiling. It has to be sent to believe. The grounds are surrounded by water, a very nice garden area & area left to go wild. It is obviously ideal for wedding &celebrations. There is a marquee in the grounds, plenty of parking. Relatively easy to find, just off a A road, you do have to keep an eye open as the signage is quite near the entrance. Staffing - I think the owners/ management have to be congratulated. They are obviously a good 'company ' to work for and this shows with the caliber o staff. The staff we have come into contact with couldn't have been more helpful, pleasant & professional a credit to the hotel. All in all a great place to visit.
