Comfort Inn Onalaska - La Crosse Area

Totally disappointing Diappointing stay. Stayed 2 nights in October while in the area visiting family. This was my 6th stay over 5 years but the most disappointing. Embedded mold around the tub at the walls, soap dish and around shower controls. The black mold had been caulked over (white), but could easily be seen thru the caulking. They offered to clean the tub, attempting to remove caulk but I told them that it could not be cleaned, had to be completely removed, cleaned, dried and recaulked and that would not be done that day. Also told them that this room should not have been rented/sold, it couldn't possibly pass an inspection. This is a maintenance issue, one that housekeeping should have recognized, reported and should have been attended to by the maintenance department but as I saw......he was not interested in that process. The general manager seems fairly new to the position and there seems to be a disconnect, lack of training and procedural processes that would have prevented such issues. This is my last visit here...... Will look elsewhere for accommodations. Such a shame as this is an excellent location and 'could' be a highly rated hotel.

Very clean and quiet room in a nice neighborhood. The room was very clean, and the staff were unusually nice. We were fortunate to be able to check in early and enjoyed our short vacation. The breakfast was perfect with many options available. We will stay here next time we are in LaCrosse.

Very Clean Great place. Very clean. All staff were extremely friendly and helpful. Breakfast was good and well maintained. Good location for attending high school graduation. Reastaurants we’re located very close

Wonderful stay! We stayed here for 3 nights in June. We were very impressed with the staff. They were helpful and friendly. The hotel was very clean. Our room was real nice. Clean and well appointed. TV was mounted on the wall and a good sized one too. The bed were the most comfortable beds I've ever slept on. In fact, I asked where they got them but they didn't know. Pillows were nice too. Breakfast in the morning was delicious! Lots to chose from. Scrambled eggs, biscuits and gravy, cereal, waffles, pancakes. Donuts and muffins. Coffee, milk, OJ. There was a lot to chose from! Our only complaint was that the bathtub was really slippery. We were told to put a bathmat on the floor of the tub. Problem solved! We toured the La Crosse area visiting supper clubs and tourist spots. Drove to Stockholm to get pie from the Stockholm Pie Company and General Store. There are other cute shops in Stockholm too. We also visited Merrick and Perrot State Parks. Our favorite memory from this long weekend though is The Red Pines Bar and Grill. Beautiful views from their patio and great food/service! We stopped there twice we liked it so much! We'll be back to this area to do some more exploring for sure.

Highly Recommend this Hotel Very nice hotel, especially for the price. It was clean and I am picky. Beds and pillows are super comfortable. Nice TV, fridge, and sitting area. Breakfast was pretty good. Staff is helpful and friendly. Unfortunately, the patron next to us was smoking pot, which seeped into our room. This was not the hotels fault, and how rude of that guest. I would highly recommend this hotel.
