Peaceful Oasis Although our stay at the Club Continental was for a friend's family emergency and not vacation, we both thoroughly enjoyed our time there. The entire staff went above and beyond in assisting us through an incredibly difficult time, extending our stay indefinitely until we moved locations as we transitioned her mom from the ICU to a long-term care facility. Terri and Bonnie were particularly kind, compassionate, and helpful, and we cannot say enough great things about them and their dedication to customer service. The hotel grounds were a welcome reprieve from the chaos of the hospital, providing us with a serene, peaceful place to come home to at the end of each day. Waking up and watching the waves of the river, dog-walks underneath a canopy of cyprus trees and spanish moss, and even a handful of visits to their incredible pools was exactly what we needed to recharge. Staying at the Club Continental is like taking a step back in time to when excellent service and incredible attention to detail was the norm. If only other hotels cared for the guest experience as much as they do. Thank you for everything <3

Wedding Night Disappointment The location is great but the rooms are outdated. The rooms looked like they have never been updated since the 80s. I got a room for our wedding night and the jacuzzi was so nasty we didn't even use it. The shower doors are the doors our family had in the 70s. I didn't even want to walk in the room without shoes I was expecting something more since I've heard so much about this place. We checked in at 10:00 and left by 7:30 the next morning. The room was overpriced, $250.00 for something so outdated and old that we couldn't wait to leave.

“Old Florida”-style elegance with a bit of shabby chic I had a very relaxing and comfortable four nights at Club Continental. The suite was very spacious. The floor-to-ceiling glass provided lots of natural light and beautiful views of the St John’s River. I loved watching the sunset and sunrise from the balcony. The bed and pillows were comfortable, and the sheets were the softest I have ever felt. I think I want those sheets for my home! The shower has decent water pressure. The tub is huge! I didn’t use the jets but still had a relaxing soak. The grounds are beautiful “Old Florida” style. It doesn’t feel like a tourist destination at all. A few things to know before you go - 1. There is no elevator in this 3-story building. There is a ramp to the second floor. If you book on the third floor, be prepared to carry your luggage up a flight of stairs. 2. Immediately adjacent to the River Suites is a pub. One night there was a band playing. With the patio door shut, I couldn’t really hear the music much. 3. The place could use a little TLC. For example, there were nail holes from where something previously hung on the wall, and the wood deck needed repainting. The suite was very clean though.

Wonderful Stay We stayed in the River Suites. The suites are spacious and have a tranquil river view, just beautiful. We enjoyed sitting out on the back porch of our room, so peaceful. The continental breakfast included was delicious and so much more than expected. We were travelling with our two dogs who also loved the beautiful grounds. We are already planning our next trip.

Wonderful Charming 1920’s era hotel. Vintage feel throughout! Super clean and beautiful view of the St John’s River. Great breakfast included. Restaurant and bar on property. Appears to be Used as a wedding venue on a regular basis. Don’t stay at a chain hotel when you have this option!
