Weekend away in Belgium We stayed for 3 nights from 24th to 27th November. Check in was easy, parking was good but a space must be pre booked. The room was basic but comfortable and clean. Staff were friendly and the bar was cosy and very well priced. I would definitely stay again as the location is ideal and the price was reasonable. Breakfast was very expensive but there are cheaper options locally.

Not dog friendly eventhough they are allowed The hotel doesn't allow you to leave the dogs alone in the bedroom which is stated nowhere while booking. If you don't want dogs in your hotel don't allow them. I would have chosen another place to stay if I had known this in advance. I hace never experienced this and we travel with our dogs frequently.

Good but not great at all Fair to fair! Room was very warm and uncomfortable. Building was aged. Staff was just “ok”. Breakfast was pretty good though. Location is great, so that’s a positive. Most of the buildings here are aged, so this is nothing unusual. The town is beautiful though.

Those scrambled eggs ! Been to this hotel several times over the past years. They provide consistent service. Good location. Good, friendly and efficient reception. Sometimes there's a queue for check-in (even after online check-in) and check-out (even when opted for fast check-out), as there is no separate desk for members. Nice, clean rooms. Slow elevator :-) And, also consistently (so not a one-time-off), totally overcooked scrambled eggs at breakfast. So, quite a few plusses and also a few points of attention. But I am sure I'll be back.

Poor Experience Stayed from 10. - 13.05.2023 in this hotel. Had booked thru EMIRATES Rocketmiles. Smooth and easy booking procedure. Upon arrival all paperwork was well-prepared, so check in was very fast. Location close to the beach and the casino is very good, also the beautiful Leopold-Park is only a 1-minute walk away. Room is a bit small, but for 1 person it will do, and you can stay in the lounge. I only and really missed a closet, to put in my clothes. Well for 3 days it will do without, but for any longer vacation or so it's not so convenient. The a.m. lounge is near to the entry and very nice. You can stay there very comfortable and have a drink or a snack. B'fast is very rich, even with 25,- EUR a bit expansive, but I got everything I like. Check out was also very fast and easy, paid b'fast and beverages with my credit card and left. Few days later I checked my Credit Card statement, and had to see the bad surprise, that this hotel charged me twice, for b'fast / beverages which I approved during check out and which is o.k. and another more than 300,- EUR which I never approved. Well, mistakes can happen, looked on the Accor homepage, found e-mail address and name of the hotel director and mailed to them – attn. Mr...., Director / or to whom it may concern. Rocketmiles booking confirmation was attached, mentioning that the room is paid. Thought there will be any reaction – but nothing happened up to now, 10 days after my mail! This behavior is completely unacceptable. First they treat my Credit Card like a kind of self-service shop and charge it w/o my approval, second they do not reply a customer's mail in due time. Incredible! In the meantime I involved Accor and my Credit Card provider. What I must do next? Go to a lawyer? To make it clear, this is not against Accor. I'm since a long time either a Gold or Platinum Member with them, showing that I'm happy with them, but I can only recommend to beware of this MERCURE Oostende, there are so many others in town.
