Excellent customer service, modern hotel with clean rooms We had a great stay at the Fairfield Inn & Suites Ottawa Starved Rock Area. We decided to book and get away last minute. I called the hotel to book, and they were very helpful and friendly. The lobby was very clean and modern. Too bad because of the pandemic breakfast was "grab and go" and the fitness center and pool were closed - but it's the same at every hotel. Rooms were clean; beds were comfortable and the hotel is well located. Kathy and Arrate were very helpful and made our stay very pleasant.

AVOID ROOM 320 Room smelled like urin and bathroom sink was clogged. Thank God we only had to stay one nite. They did not offer any discounts - I am a veteran, AAA member and a senior which is highly unusual for any major hotel chain. AVOID

Acceptable The hotel and location are good. Everything worked as expected I felt safe and slept well. Nothing I can point to but it never felt at home. And I spend more nights in hotels than home. The housekeeping could be better and on a regular schedule.

Not worth it!!!!!! NO amenities were open, price is the same, although not the reason for my bad review. Could hear a child in the room above stomping around late night into early morning. We were driving across country and stayed here as a "treat" because we were staying at Motel 6's and wanted an upgrade HA! Never heard a peep at any Motel 6! The front desk didnt even apologize, emailed corporate and they blamed me for not requested a top floor!!!!!

Decent hotel with spacious room King suite spacious but hotel is noisy with highway nearby, and an outdoor patio with no closing time. Lots of people maskless in hotel, including the cleaning staff so bring your Lysol wipes if you plan to stay here. There is the highway on one end, construction on the other and the patio in the back so try for a room over the parking lot. Beds have seen better days but bathroom spacious and has nice products. Overall, during COVID I did not feel they were making enough efforts to insure safety, but once pandemic ends I would go back
