Nicest Room We Have Ever Had The title of my review is a very bold statement. I have stayed at some great properties, but this one is particularly memorable. We had a 1 bedroom Villa with a golf course view. This was the most well thought room layout I have ever seen. Whomever designed this Villa knew what they were doing. Every detail was taken into consideration. The beautiful counter tops in the kitchen and bathroom, the layout of the bathroom, the shower, the bathtub, the mirrors, the very clean carpeting, the motion detected floor lighting, the large bars of soap for both sink and shower, the extensive selection of cable channels, the two tv”s, the dining table for six, the comfortable chairs, and L shaped couch, the very comfortable king bed, the extremely quiet and efficient ac, the wonderful large balcony and balcony furniture, the great kitchen amenities and large kitchen, the crown molding, the electronic fireplace, the large towels, plenty of power outlets, fast internet, and the lighting. The property is right next to the Marriott Hotel and there is a walking path via the Tennis courts that easily connects both properties so you can take advantage of the various Restaurants and Shops. If you do not want to take the short walk, they have a free bus leaving throughout the complex every 15 minutes. We had such a nice time we will be returning to the property soon. Thank you Marriott Vacation Club, it was a wonderful stay.

Beautiful Resort in Desert/Book Villa Ii I took my friend with me to celebrate her birthday. We checked in and I got a corner villa but the ONLY one available was the structure closet to the street and main gate. I was also not told that the villa was NOT connected to the extra bedroom. I found out later that desert 1 villas are not connected. I was very disappointed!! The villa is very comfortable and was super clean. I was very impressed with the staff and all the safety procedures they followed. Most impressive staff member was Abraham. He worked at the pool(s). He had a great personality and was there for towels, water etc. He should be promoted because he is truly an assist. Grounds were beautiful and super maintained.

Enough with blaming COVID for lousy and cheap management decisions to cut staff and reduce even basic services. Spent a week here earlier this month and last year as well at the onset of the pandemic panic. Understandably at the beginning, people were scared, California state government grew more and more stupid with useless and needless restrictions, and service at this resort went south in a hurry. Fast forward to this year and the pool hours are STILL reduced - excuse: lack of staff, turnover seems to be 100%, with some staff clearly untrained and unmotivated. There are SO MANY people who want and need work that the ridiculous comment is insulting. Gym hours are also reduced and limited to a few patrons with some smaller gyms completely closed. Again, the same stupid excuse, lack of staff. The grounds are filthy with litter, garbage and debris all over the place. There is no excuse for allowing such a miserable situation. The bottom line here and at all Marriott's we've visited over the past 12 months is that the company is relentlessly cutting costs resulting in a miserable experience compared to what once was. My sense is that this situation will continue long after the hysteria abates, resulting in a new normal of glossy pictures, high prices and pathetic excuses for poor service in return for a very mediocre stay. Old man Marriott would be ashamed.

Great Property We loved our stay at Marriott Desert Springs Villas. Our unit was very clean, spacious, and nicely furnished, with plenty of room to spread out for the week. Service was excellent, although we did have some problems with check-in, which were eventually resolved. The location of the resort is really ideal, located within a few miles of the High Desert Zoo and very close to a Ralph's supermarket for groceries and many restaurants within a short drive. Staff were courteous and helpful throughout our stay. Bravo!

Nice Villas, Poor Service The villas are large and well maintained, but the service and amenities have been greatly reduced. Maybe somewhat due to the virus, but most changes seem mostly to save money. Phones are not answered for many minutes. Pool and fitness center hours greatly reduced. No more access to the hotel spa pool. Shuttle not operating. Prices at the Market are very high. Don't shop for food there.
