Motel & Palm Springs charm all in one This motel is now called Adara Hotel Palm Springs. I’ve stayed here before and still love this place. It’s reasonably priced but still offers some retro Palm Springs charm. It’s small with brightly painted doors and metal gates. The front desk person is very nice. There’s a pool and hottub nestled in the crook of the rooms, right under Palm Spring’s giant mountains. The rooms are a step above nice with comfortable beds, good AC, and well-functioning wifi. Rooms also offer a fridge. Finally, we enjoyed the convenience store next door, with a surprising selection of beer, wine, cigars, and Mexican fast food. It would be great if they installed a light above the bathroom mirrors so makeup can be applied effectively.

Needs bathroom remodel The front office was nice and check in was quick. The hotel itself has that Palm Springs look. The area with the beds was nice but had some outdated furniture. The bathroom was in poor condition and desperately needs updating. All the light switches were dirty.

Has potential The front office was decorated nicely and check in was quick and easy. The hotel has a cute Palm Springs vibe. The room was good except for the bathroom. It was small and in poor condition. Definitely needs a remodel and should not available for booking at this time.

Not nice or clean Thought the reviews were good for this place but didn’t notice there were so few reviews. It’s not clean, there was hair, dust, dirt on the floor. Kept my shoes on. Very weird kitchenette area with a microwave, ironing board and some random pots (?). And a couple mismatched plates, cups, measuring cup and other odd utensils sitting in a dish rack. Looked unclean, no sponge or dish rag insight. The bed linens seemed clean as did the bathtub- thank goodness- otherwise we would have left. Could hear noise from the street although it quieted down later. It was cheap for Palm Springs - you get what you pay for.

Look elsewhere for accommodation in PS Pros: The service from the woman who checked me in was good - she was friendly and had recommendations on places to eat and things to do. Cons: The floors in the room were not clean. Aged property (only so much you can do without a complete overhaul). The location is also on the edge of downtown, still walkable-ish, but if it got very hot during the summer, it would be a challenge. Big con: My credit card was also pre-authorized prior to check in (was not told this ahead of time, and therefore when it happened, I assume the room would be ready, which was not the case). Then when I checked in, my card was authorized again. Both charges posted to my account. I've attempted to reach out to the property multiple times via e-mail, their website, and via phone (had to leave a message . . . ) and didn't hear back so have to now go through with my credit card company to dispute one of the charges. Thankfully this was a credit card and not a debit card, but a forewarning to those to watch your account activity. My overall recommendation would be to skip and stay at a branded hotel. *Note - as of this writing there is another listing named "Knights Inn Palm Springs" - which was the property name before Adara
