Excellent, great value small hotel in the 7th arrondisement I recently stayed 3 nights in this charming small hotel in the 7th Arrondisement, home of the Tour Eiffel, Hôtel des Invalides and the Champ de Mars . I thoroughly recommend you stay here. I chose a duplex, single room which while compact worked well over two floors with a spiral staircase which connects the lower room, with its single bed to the upper area with a WC and shower, and a small seating area with a desk. I would not recommend this room for anyone with mobility problems as the spiral staircase has a tight climb / descent. The shower facilities were excellent. Do ask for the “plateau de courtoisie” ( courtesy tray ) giving you Nespresso coffee, tea bags etc. The small dining area is freshly decorated, comfortable and the breakfast fare was plentiful, varied and tasty including fresh yogurt and fruit jars, fresh pancakes, abundant French pastries, cold meats and cheeses and various breads. An automatic coffee making machine turns out the expected coffee options quickly. I used the small salon seated area to sit and relax in, when reading and found the seating very comfortable. The hotel staff were helpful and polite. While I would not want this to detract from my overall highly positive experience I was surprised to find being expected to pay my full anticipated bill when I checked in rather than on checking out! A completely unexpected bonus entailed my room in the 5th floor overlooking the attractive garden of Hotel Matignon, the official Residence of the French Prime Minister.

Delightful stay in Paris! It took me 7 visits to Paris to find this wondeful stay that is really a 4-star experience while rated as 3-star (purelly protocols they are working on). Incredibly confortable (bed, linens, towels), clean, a room/bathroom size it is hard to see in Paris even willing to spend $$$. A delicious breakfast to start the day. Great staff members, Madame Carol closely takes care of any guest inquiries and provides valuable local hints. Location is superb, all a visitor may need on terms of restaurants, grosseries, transportation, day/night life in the heart of Saint-Germain Depres. Needless to say about safety: 100%. I stayed for 6 days with my son and for my next visits 100% I will book Hotel de Suede. Thank you M. Carol and team!

Good hotel in great location Very good and clean hotel. Great location. Most of historic places in walking distance. There was some renovation going on but was ok. One thing missing was wine glasses as you are in wine country. Shops are near by if needed. Would choose to stay again.

Massively disappointed To say we were disappointed is an understatement. This was a long awaited trip with my daughter and 2 granddaughters, a Christmas present for our youngest. We were so excited to finally be in Paris. Having wanted to visit for many years. We arrived at the hotel, not one smile from anyone on reception to welcome us. They are clearly in the wrong job. Was not made to feel welcome at all. Then we heard drilling and banging. There was works going on in the hotel. My daughter asked why weren’t we informed. We were told it wouldn’t affect our stay. It did! Areas were taped off. So we couldn’t sit in the lounge or have a drink by the fire we had seen in the photos, which made the hotel look warm and welcoming. Our room was extremely cramped plus no fridge for my daughters medication. Luckily Paris didn’t disappoint but Hotel Suede definitely did…would NOT recommend

Dirty old carpets everywhere— rude manager/owner Very unpleasant experience! I usually don’t post bad reviews for places in Europe, especially after Covid since all these small hotels are struggling to survive and we always support small business. However, after staying at this place twice, I have to post the review. The location is very far from main attractions. We asked to change our room but the woman and her son who run the place speak poor English and are impolite and non-accommodating. They act as if they are doing you a favor for your stay there. It is a safe place, the lobby is nice but the rooms are extremely old with dirty old smelly carpet and the furnishings are 50+ years old. There are a lot of other small hotels in the area that are fully modernized with impeccable service and pleasant attitude. Save your money and stay in the nearby hotels. We changed to another hotel by the Rodin museum and couldn’t be happier.
