On my second visit I worried about choosing this inn because of all of the reviews and now that I'm on my second visit I can see why people seem to have very different experiences. First, I have to admit than I'm a pretty easy going traveller. I just require a clean, safe space with a little character and friendly or at least reasonable staff. I stayed in a queen room the first time and it was beautiful and updated with a big portrait window. The bathroom and room had clearly been renovated - not super fancy but really nice. This time I wanted to stay in a room with a balcony - since there is almost no public space at the inn right now because of COVID precautions - no lobby, restaurant/bar, and very limited seating in the gazebo - but here's the trade off. This time the room is dated (still well taken care of and clean - but the bathroom is not as modern as the queen room and the room is definitely older and more 'lived in' and there is no closet or extra light in the bathroom. But the opportunity to have a little private balcony with an incredible view is amazing. I still prefer the creature comforts of the queen room - but both rooms have their good points. That said I will definitely stay here again - maybe I'll try a king room next.

Wish I had read reviews before I stayed. Stayed in room 1, the door was broken. The bed VERY hard. Trains ALL NIGHT LONG. When I told staff, they said "That's what the ear plugs are for" No one even suggested ear plugs. I would NOT recommend

Need Renovations and better Customer Service.. We were promised a King sized room with a sofa bed for my son to sleep on and there was no sofa in the room and the room was almost half the size of the other king sized rooms at this hotel. The hotel said there was nothing that they can do and only offered us a $10 credit! This hotel is in much need of renovations, the rooms are worn out, toilet seat was completely old and cracked and paint faded, holes and broken walls in the rooms. The lights outside your room shine right inside the room preventing you from getting any sleep because they don't have black out curtains. They actually use sheer white curtains for the windows!. It's too bad because the location is great and the view is nice. The hotel needs a mass overhaul and management needs to learn how to better serve and compensate their guests when they're at fault. Really disappointed!

Terrible I never post bad reviews but I have to here. The views from the balcony are breathtaking. That's really the only good thing. We spent $375 for 2 nights in a double room. No coffee maker or kettle in the room, hard to go to town every morning for coffee and tea. The sheets were stained. The hardware in the bathroom falling apart. All of this was bad enough but the day we were to check out I called the front desk and asked if I could check out 15 minutes late and I was told that there would be a $30 charge. So no shower that morning. And as we were checking out we wanted to change the credit card to be charged. The guy at the checkout window couldn't do that and he said the girl who can help us with that is not working right now and might be back in 30 minutes. I mean... This place could be such a great place to stay but clearly whoever runs this place doesn't really care. Such a shame.

Need to clean I stayed for a week here and the room had a ton of spiders. a bunch of tiny spiders on the lamps and on the walls. i found a huge one while lying down on my bed and one in the bathroom. not sure if they aren’t cleaning as much because of COVID but they were coming inside of the rooms to clean. they did not do a sufficient job with the cleaning. the cleaning products used also smelled up the bathroom like a wet mop.
