Clean, Convenient & Everyone Was Great! Clean and convenient! Plus everyone was very helpful and accommodating. I told them I'd be late and they said "It's okay, we'll be here!" and sure enough, I was greeted by the night concierge who was super sweet and helped me get in and settled even though I was extremely late rolling in. He also told me to park right at the door and unload first before heading to the other lot. Their lot gets used for Blobfest activities, but the shared lot is a short walk away, so it was all good. I was given a parking pass to display in my car the whole weekend and it was safe the entire time. It was no trouble adding my roomie and anytime we needed help or had a question about anything, the staff was knowledgeable and more than willing to assist. (Bonus: They have a cute little cockatiel in the lobby and even he participated in my conversations.) Because we were there for Blobfest, the hotel manager had prepped gift baskets for the guests, which was a delightful surprise. The beds and pillows were super comfy, which was great after a long day at the Fest. We had the added convenience of being pretty much in the heart of Phoenixville, so the theater and many restaurants and shops were only a short walk away. The rooms are equipped with microwaves and mini fridges, which was handy for our leftovers. With the July heat, the A/C was working perfectly and you know we appreciated that. I'm hoping to make it to Blobfest next year and if all goes well, I'll stay here again since it was such a nice experience for me and my friend. Thank you!

Quaint and Peaceful The location of this inn could not have been better for the purpose of my trip. The room was quiet (I asked for a quiet room and they actually changed me to a room other than the original one they were giving me.) and very comfortable. The only problem is with the parking. The first day and a half I had no problem parking beside the inn, but there are only about 8-10 spots and, on the night before I left, I had to run out and get something and lost my parking spot. So I parked across the street (after looking at the signs on the sidewalk) and GOT A PARKING TICKET for parking there :( Apparently there is street sweeping although, after walking up and down the block, I only saw 2 signs - one was 4 spots behind me and one was about 4 spots in front of me and BEHIND A TREE. So, if you stay here, either park in the lot assigned or watch the signs closely. The employees at the Inn were very friendly and helpful and this was a very nice place to stay.

Parking situation makes staying overnight in Phoenixville an Extremely Unpleasant Affair. Previously I left a 4/5 star review. Sadly that isn't possible anymore. Such an unpleasant experience that I will not stay here again (unless they remedy the parking situation) Liked · All the staff were great. Pleasant, helpful, and efficient. The amenities were ok for the price point of the facility. The location is fantastic if you're visiting Phoenixville for an extended event like a film festival. Disliked · Wifi was nonfunctional. Called the front desk for the password and it would connect and drop. Wasn't even able to read email. This isn't the Mainstay's fault, but PARKING. Last time I came here parking was included. This time it wasn't and Phoenixville has the most predatory and capricious public parking system I've ever seen. It's designed to generate tickets. I wound up paying $40 in parking fees. That alone would have been manageable, but the design of the system made my visit to a film festival at The Colonial Theater something of a nightmare. We arrived at 1030 am for 13-14 hour event that started at noon. Parking was $2 an hour. Parking was live 7 days a week from 6 am to 2 am in the city's public lots. Problem #1: You can only pay for 14 hours max - and you can't edit or add time. You have to wait for the first purchase to run out or start an entirely new purchase. So I had to set an alarm for 1230 pm, leave the theater mid-film and pay for 2 more hours. Problem #2: Then after being up till 2am, I discovered that I couldn't log into the app to pay for parking until 6am so I had to set an alarm for 6am to get up and pay more in the app or get ticketed. I got almost 4 hours of sleep and then had to quickly log in at 6am on the dot. I paid for 4 hours and got to the parking lot at 950am with 10 minutes to spare. The guy who issued the tickets pulled in as we were loading our vehicle up and was checking each of the vehicles to slap tickets on them. The whole point of staying locally is to have convenient access and easy rest. I will never again come to this hotel, which is unfortunate because I feel like they do a good job. The parking issue could be fixed in many different ways - but it's set up to produce tickets and generate lots of revenue for the town/borough/whatever. These events happen a few times a year, I will be staying at a hotel outside of Phoenixville and would recommend that to anyone parking for an overnight event.

Best Budget Hotel within Town Centre Mainstay Inn was a VERY reasonably priced hotel so when my friend and I checked in we weren’t expecting a whole lot. The staff was incredibly friendly and we even got to chatting while checking in. They were very accommodating with parking because the town structure doesn’t support big lots in the center portion but on the edges. They give you a lot waiver even if you do have to walk a little. Our room was clean and didn’t smell of anything. The air conditioner did sound like an idling old farm truck, but the nights were still cool and we just used it while awake. The DirectTv was a little picky and only worked by using the box and manual TV channel options. I think my biggest easy fix would be the pillows. They were serviceable albeit too utilitarian. They were very flat and didn’t support your neck properly even 2/3 deep. The hotel always felt safe and you will walk out into the hub. There is live music on the weekends during summer and negated every issue that I can even think of mentioning. The water pressure was also stable, steady, and the temperature was hot. The rooms are physical key entry so I put it on my car ring for the duration of our stay. You won’t want to misplace it. Overall, I would be happy to stay here again if just briefly stopping into town because it is quiet and well kept. Best 2 Star Hotel I’ve ever stayed at, better than some 3 Star Hotels!

Mainly good but some bad. Hotel is decent, close to downtown. Plenty of shopping and eateries closeby. Clean room. However, TV was mainly non-funtional in regards to the Directv. And, although the streaming services worked, the WiFi was so poor that programs would suddenly shut down. Not able to get a steady signal for my tablet or my phone. The main issue was with the parking. Only 10 designated parking spots for hotel guests. REALLY? The lot was next to a large municipal lot, which was aways full. Returning from a long day of convention seminars, I rfound no open parking spots. I had to drive around for a while until a spot opened up. Advice: once you park and check in, don't move your car unless it is absolutely necessary.
