Delightful, clean hotel What a lovely hotel! Staff was friendly, responsive, and delightful. Hotel is clean, nicely furnished and in a convenient location to Legionaries of Christ seminary. We enjoyed breakfast in the morning and cold beverage in the evening. I would definitely recommend this place to traveling families, business people or friends enjoying an outing.

Bad hotel Been going there for the last 10 years. This year it has really gone downhill. Carpeting in the hallway hasn’t been cleaned in over a year. The bathtub porcelain is peeling the chrome is corroded. Over all the hotel is one big mess. Never go here again.

Don’t reserve a room here, if you actually want a room I booked a room with two beds at this hotel. When I got there, they gave me the keys to my room, and when I went to the room, it was occupied by somebody else. They did not have another room with two beds, so the front desk clerk told me That she canceled my reservation, and would have the manager give me a refund in the morning. I have not received the refund, I have called the hotel four times, the manager has not returned any phone calls, and the front desk clerk say there’s nothing they can do. This place is completely incompetent, and they will steal your money in a heartbeat

Very Good Overall 2-Night Experience, Skip the Breakfast Option We stayed her for two nights while visiting family in the area. From the moment we walked in, we were welcomed by the friendly and professional front desk staff. Our room was great - modern, functional, spacious and plenty of natural light. The beds were most comfortable and the modern bathroom was well laid out. Common areas are kept spotless and the amenities such as fitness center and indoor pool were a big plus. Parking is plentiful. Location was great - just off I-84 and close to nearby restaurants. Downtown Cheshire is a short drive away as is the campus of Yale and its environs. The only complaint we had here was the made-to-order breakfast. The coffee was pretty bad and we found the food choices limiting and the quality and preparation of food to be sub-par. This was an additional cost which I would have skipped had I known. Personally, I would prefer a simple continental breakfast buffet. Otherwise, we would not hesitate to stay here again..

How many IHG points do we have? We travelled from Canada to visit friends in nearby Watertown, CT. Our stay was good in a reliable way, which is the main reason we select Holiday-Inn for >40 years. One criticism we have is the inability to obtain up to date status on our IHG points. We are told that we have to wait 3 days for this information which isn't helpful when seeking a possible discount at the next point on our trip. BTW - Grace's Diner is a great place nearby for reliable meals.
