Convenient Hotel with Non courteous staff at the reception Hotel is not so bad but the attendant at the reception especially Janita Mathis, Area sales coordinator was very rude seems to be unhappy with her job who don't care about good stay experience of guests. When I told her that due to her rude behavior only, I am not going to book this hotel again in future, she didn't feel sorry for the hotel business from where she is being paid. Hotel management to look into its staff's behavior in the name of ridiculous hotel policies towards guests from whom you get the business.

Always a pleasure Always a pleasure to stay here. The rooms are super cute and have everything you need for a pleasant stay. Rooms are a little outdated they just need a coat of paint, but nothing that will hinder your stay. Staff are always so friendly and fun. Continental breakfast is always fresh and nice seating area. Highly recommend. Lovely Halloween decorations made it so welcoming. Thank you.

Now a Homeless Shelter….. Unbeknownst to us, this “former hotel” which we have happily stayed at several times over the years, is clearly contracted to house the homeless. It is pretty much destroyed. Carpeting in halls and stairwell is awful. Smells of cannabis and other unsavory odors, with an unsuccessful effort to mask it with chemicals. Door handle to our room was broken but operable. An obvious homeless woman with all her clothing and belongings in garbage bags, was being deposited onto the sidewalk, out a side door of the facility. Cabinets in room dated and broken. All occupants of the facility we saw had a clear “homeless appearance”. We walked back to the front desk and informed them we weren’t staying. I have no problem with Pleasanton’s Larkspur Landing deciding this is the business model that keeps them financially solvent, but then the general public should be advised prior to booking a reservation. Additionally, at the original check-in, our credit card was charged for the planned 2 night stay, twice. We’ve been credited for one, and calling the hotel staff resulted in nothing. Fortunately I have a receipt showing $0.00 charged for our experience, and I have a great credit card company that will take care of it. I volunteer at a homeless shelter in my town, but it doesn’t double as a hotel for out-of-town visitors. This will be my last experience with a Larkspur Landing….. anywhere.
