Enjoyed the stay The breakfast was delicious, everything from egg white omelettes, pancakes, Danish buns to biscuits and yummy sausage gravy. Be sure to chat with Tay who works in this breakfast area, a very friendly and informative person who knows so much about this city and surrounding area. A delightful worker and very helpful. The rooms are clean and spacious with very comfortable mattresses and the pillows even have cases labeled “ firm” or “soft”._ The staff are friendly and helpful. An enjoyable stay.

Friendly Place To Stay For your Port Lavaca stay, we can recommend HIE&S! It is located on the water just off 35. We showed up w/o a reservation which was no problem. Front desk staff was friendly and booked our room w/o issue. King bed room had all you needed for a comfortable nights stay. No issues at all. Typical breakfast. Was impressed at how clean place was. All you need for a good meal. Tay, the person handling the breakfast duties, was awesome. If you want to know the history of the area, what to see, where to fish, you MUST talk with her! You will not be disappointed. If we come back through the area, we will stay here.

I relied on these reviews, but had Horrible Experience My poor experience was due to staff. On arrival to room, door was propped open by safety clasp. Breakfast was non existent. Staff was uncooperative. One person cooking breakfast and he was eating in the kitchen (violates health dept. rules most places) told him, the breakfast was gone. Said he was working on it. 45 minutes later, still no breakfast, no bakery, no fruit, juice station a disaster, no pancake batter. Told him again. Told me to be patient. I did not have a choice. Tried tofile a complaint at front desk. Said no way to do that, just tell her. She said they had a busy morning and she was SURE he was working hard to do HIS JOB. When checked out, another employee came out and asked if all was ok. Said no, there was no breakfast. She blamed busy and supply chain issues. So there was NO attempt to satisfy the customer, only mI said he was eating. . She said he needed to eat too. All attitudes were inappropriate. Younger girl mocked me as a walked away. She did not know how to check me out. NONE of the employees had a HI badge. They knew how many guests they had and should have been prepared. Poorly staffed? Management fault. Poorly trained. Management fault. But these surely attitudes were totally on the employees. Disgraceful.

Short weekend getaway We were extremely happy with the quality level of customer service provided to us. The room was clean and comfortable. It was perfect for a short weekend getaway. Ariel went the extra mile for us in finding a room with a view to the water. We truly appreciated it. Great experience.

Very satisfied First time in port lavaca and will be coming back to both.Front desk was so awesome they couldnt finf my reservation because it was miss spelled and she didnt give up . The rooms very clean and the beds very comfortable.
