Super 8 Port Royal (4 Nights) The hotel is in very rough shape. Super run down. The floor was so dirty that you couldn’t take your shoes off. The room had roaches and everything was in poor shape. The pictures shown for the rooms do not reflect the quality of the room. Please please please spend the extra few dollars and stay some where else. I will never stay here again. I hope this helps. It was a real challenge staying here. It was almost worth it to just leave, even though I wouldn’t have gotten my money back.

Employees were nice, but walls are too thin. My husband and I stayed here for 2 nights to attend an event at Parris Island. We wanted a cheap place to sleep that was close to the base. Our experience was poor, but if our neighbors would've been quiet, it would've been better. The good: The location was good. The employees were nice and helpful. The water pressure was good. The second room we were in (231) did have a plug in and a USB port for charging next to the beds. They had a written listing of all the channels on the TV. It seemed clean enough. The not so good: If you are looking for a place that looks nice and has bells and whistles, this is not the place. There were 3 cereals and some mini muffins in the office each morning. The decor is old looking and the paint isn't done well. The first room we were in (227) didn't have plug ins near the beds for our phones. I had to charge my phone by the sink. The towels were also very thin, but they did dry us off. The really not good: The walls are so thin that we could hear everything going on in the rooms next door - to the point where we couldn't sleep. After listening to the woman next door talk and hearing the friend on speaker phone I believe, for an hour, I called the front desk, and they asked her to quiet down. It was 3am. The second night, we asked to switch rooms and we could hear the neighbor's conversations until midnight. Then about 3:30am, one of their cell phone's alarms started going off - it woke me, but apparently not the owner of the phone b/c it went on for long time. Obviously, hotel customers should be allowed to talk in their rooms, but this hotel made it difficult to sleep when they did. The people who worked there were not at fault for anything I've talked about, and we were tired, so I may've been cranky, but we won't stay here again. It was just too hard to sleep with the noise.

Could be much better For a quick no thrill stay it’s ok. The breakfast is just muffins and cereal. Room service is very other day. Shower leaks on floor. There isn’t much choice for breakfast in the area and having the breakfast they advertised would have been nice for a multiple day stay

Chose hotel for location. Close to Beaufort, Hunting Island. Savannah is an hour away. I am very fair with remarks whenever I write a review. Having said that; I'll be brutally honest here. Floors were so dirty they were black. My bare feet never touched the floor. Different types of hair were on bathroom floor. Ring around tub proves the housekeeping doesn't clean properly. Free breakfast consists of apples, 3 cold cereals, a pitcher of milk and orange juice and mini muffins. Offered regular coffee, creamer, sugar and sweetener packets. On positive side? Linens were clean and no bugs. Staff were all nice and happy to replace used towels; give you toilet tissue as needed. Hotel is close to Parris Island, which families stay in when the pick up their Marine graduate.
