Great Overnight Stay! A very pleasant surprise after reading some negative reviews. Clean, friendly staff (Mary among others), and fantastic coffee and cookies. This hotel reminds me of the Hampton Inns from years back when extra attention was given to comfort and cleanliness. Recently Hampton Inns have been hit or miss but this one was a true winner. We visited on the weekend so no work crews were present but weekday stays may be impacted by renovation noise during the day. If concerned call ahead to check.

Poor customer satisfaction I checked into the hotel Sunday Evening, July 7th for a 2 week reservation which I eventually extended my stay an additional week due to work requirements. The first night, the toilet ran constantly which they fixed the next day after I requested maintenance to fix it, no big deal. I requested housekeeping services every other day which sometimes did not happen. On July 17th, after arriving from work, I discovered the shower gel was empty which housekeeping had done their service that day. It was refilled the next day again after I requested. (Should I have to ask). But again, no big deal. On Friday, July 19th, almost 2 weeks into my stay, I had to request housekeeping to vacuum my room (I work construction so my boots track dirt despite my efforts to clean them before entering the hotel) after it had not been done the entire stay so far. Again not a big deal, but should I have to ask, it was very obvious that it needed to be done. Here is the big deal and why I am writing a review. On Wednesday, July 24th, I notified the desk clerk that I will be checking out on Friday instead of Saturday, an entire 36 hours before I planned on leaving. The desk clerk informed me that they would be charging me a $50 early departure fee. I asked seriously and she said yes. The next day I called the hotel and inquired about the fee again and the person who answered the phone told me there was nothing she could do about it. I asked to speak to a manager and the manager identified herself as Ashley and she again told me there was nothing she could do about it. I told her I had stayed there for the past 2 and half weeks and gave you plenty of notice I was leaving early and she refused to do anything about it. I have stayed close to 100 nights this year in a Hilton Family hotel. There has been a couple of times where I checked out early expecting to get charged extra because I gave them no notice and was told don’t worry about it, we hope your enjoyed your stay and please come back. But not at the Hampton Inn, Port St. Lucie. Well you may have gotten $50 for nothing but you lost a customer. I will be back in town next week for another extended stay and another hotel will get my money. I could not find any mention of a early departure fee on their website. I hope the $50 was worth it. Even more importantly, I hope other travelers see that you are not willing to work with customers and that you are only interested in getting every penny you can get and decide to stay elsewhere as well!!!!!!!!!

Watch out for hidden fees Memorial Day weekend I stayed three nights at Hampton Inn and Suites Port St. Lucie West Florida. My original reservation was for 4 nights. The night before checking out there was a loud party keeping me up. I decided to check out a day early and did so at 8:10 a.m. and was charged an additional $50.00 (early departure fee). I travel a lot and have stayed at Hampton Inn’s whenever one was in the area. In the past I have had to depart early and never have I been charged a fee. To make matters worse the young lady at the front desk never disclosed this information to me. I spoke to the front desk and was told this is their policy. I also spoke to Hilton Corporate and was told there was nothing they could do because this is the policy of the local hotel. Additionally, I found the furniture to be old, worn and the flooring to be dirty. This hotel is an exception from the other Hampton Inn’s I have stayed at. I will say, for the most part customer service, the breakfast and the overall condition of the hotel was good. Travelers beware of those hidden fees.

Amazing customer service! My family had a great experience staying at this hotel! The gentleman at the front desk was amazing & had the best communication via text, making sure everything was well for us. He even went out of his way to find us in the later evening after someone had found my little boy’s charger to his Nintendo Switch in the parking lot. Renovations were currently in action, but not any inconvenience at all. Our room was clean, comfortable bedding, and nice & clean bathroom w/ accommodations & an adjustable shower head. The free breakfast was also great! We will come back.

DO NOT STAY HERE. This hotel is a construction site DO NOT STAY HERE. This hotel is a construction site. All floors are under construction. Hotel website does not provide any information about construction and extremely loud noise including hammer pounding and drill machines all day. There are plenty of other hotels in the area.
