Good hotel for a stay in Prince Rupert Great hotel for our brief stay in Prince Rupert. Well-appointed, comfortable rooms, free parking across the street, and an excellent Continental breakfast (included) served starting at 5 am to accommodate all the B.C. Ferries travellers. Friendly staff and good location for making a dash to the ferry dock. Would certainly stay here again.

Under Renovations, Decent Location The staff at Prestige was always friendly and helpful. The room was comfortable and bathroom clean. The hotel is in a bit of a nondescript area but is maybe 10 minutes walk away from the more picturesque boardwalk area. I did like being close to Rinse Rupert, a good laundromat. There is no gym although I was told the renovations would change that. The included breakfast is bagels, waffles, muffins rather than eggs or bacon. All in all, a good stay.

Good place to stay Got to the hotel after midnight, as the ferry from Port Hardy doesn't get in until around 12. The two clerks on shift were ready for the onslaught (and there were a LOT of people checking in at that time, from the ferry). They were unruffled and pleasant and we all got our rooms in good time. The rooms were clean and had all we needed. The only thing I'd advise is that you not book a "king suite" if you have a third person planning to use the hideabed. It's impossible to sleep on - truly awful, uncomfortable non-mattress. Better to just spend a bit more and get two rooms.

Very average We found the hotel/room very average but the staff were lovely and very friendly. Arrived early hours after a long train journey, checkin was quick & efficient. Room: On arrival the heating in the room was set to 29 degrees so we couldn’t go straight to bed until we’d cooled it down. We booked a Superior King, initially we thought we’d been given the wrong room as it looked very dated and drab. Room had the biggest aircon unit ever seen and it was really noisy so we had to switch it off at night. Bed was comfy, shower pressure was good. We asked for a kettle in the room and was told they are not provided but we were free to go down to reception for hot water. Hotel: Lobby area is refurb’d where free tea & coffee are provided (they have English breakfast teabags if you ask for them). Breakfast was definitely not deluxe, choice of making waffles, toast or having cereal, the muffin shelf was empty as was the fruit bowl. I’m sure we could’ve asked if we wanted some but toast was fine. All in all, the hotel provides the basics but that’s it.
