Great Hotel, fantastic staff I always stay at this hotel when I'm town to work at the nearby airport (KPWK) and I highly recommend it. I'm an IHG Diamond Elite member so I've stayed at my share of hotels. The staff here is second to none and the accommodations are clean and comfortable. Plus, the internet is stable and fast enough for streaming Netflix, YouTube, etc.

A bad breakfast and stay We stayed for two nights ( May 3 and 4 ). We had a noisy air conditioner. It is also noted that there was a red substance on both of our bed night stands. Our first morning consisted of the free breakfast. I had scrambled eggs, bacon and some bread. We left after breakfast to visit family. Two hours after eating I got very sick to my stomach. I believe there was something wrong with my eggs as my wife didn't get sick because she didn't eat any eggs. As of this writing my stomach is still not good. Our second night consisted of fireworks at Midnight. There was also a car alarm that kept going off from 1 am until we checked out at 4 am. We have stayed at this property for the last 4 years but this experience has us questioning whether to stay again next year. 150 bucks for a night of virtually no sleep is unacceptable.

They know... Stumbled upon this hotel while I was driving around the area looking for a nice place for quick overnight trip. It looked really nice and newly renovated from the outside and was very close to the place I needed to be for meetings all day the next day. Oh my goodness! I may as well have slept outside in my car. Not only are the walls so thin that it sounded like the people in the room next door were in my room. When they flushed their toilet, it sounded like my toilet also flushed. I got very little sleep before very important meetings that next day. If that wasn't bad enough, I woke up to a room full of batches of insects/ants crawling all over the floor by the door, in the bathroom, and on the bed (which means they had to also be in the carpet...I just couldn't see them. To make matters worse, I told the front desk staff when I check out and she didn't even blink. She simply said..."Oh. I'll send maintenance up there. Do you what your receipt printed or emailed?" I couldn't believe it! It led me to believe that they have a bug/insect problem and some of the staff already know it! It. Was. Awful.

Oh Boy, Full Breakfast! Traveled with my husband to Chicago to see our daughter perform at the Writer's Theatre in Glencoe, IL. We wanted a hotel that was close to the theater and chose to stay at another Holiday Inn, we were not disappointed. We especially enjoyed the full breakfast. We were able to enjoy the neighborhood as we ventured out for ice cream at various stores within walking distance from the hotel.

OK but other Holiday Inn Expresses have been better Staff all were nice, helpful and pleasant. The air conditioning, even when on low fan (choices are low fan, high fan and off), blows very cold regardless of the temperature. It is fine for at night when you are under a blanket but uncomfortable when sitting in the room. Furniture arrangement is strange. The air conditioning unit is in front of the window. The bed is so close to the air conditioning unit that you have to walk side ways to get to that side of the bed. That half of the room also includes a dresser + TV and a table. The half of the room away from the window has a desk and a chaise lounge but is pretty much a lot of open floor space. The toilet is so low to the floor that standing up afterwards is a little bit of a challenge. The breakfast is not up to Holiday Inn Express standards. The dry cereal I ate was stale. They do not have hard-boiled eggs and they provide mini bagels, not full sized, and they have no taste, We never saw any information about things to do or places to eat in the vicinity.
